I dont know if anyone touched on this fact...but to place a bet at a Casino, you have to put the money up.

I dont know who else here has had a few hundred grand in their possession at a time, but it was a bit bigger than you expected, huh?

He would have needed a fucking forklift to bring in 13 Mil to bet on a game.

I have needed a duffel bag to carry 300K. I literally cannot imagine 13 million.

There is something that has me short on breath when I read:

Especially when it is in regard to a football game ending on 1 or 2 points. Shit, you should bet that you get hit by lightning. The odds are about the same.

i wish there were a vegas sportsbook site that would post true or not to these unreal  plays right after kickoff, i know there are pros, but until something like that comes out, its mythical to some of us. WE WANT PROOF, NOT CHEAP TALK

When I was in Vegas I couldn't get a bet for more than $10k on a single game...  Would any Casino give that type of bet? Also I saw this guy Billy Walters on 60 Minutes.  Is he the real thing???

This is pure B.S. You cannot get a bet down that big at any one casino..period. Yes, big hitters that are known do use runners.. but not with that kinda dough. This didn't happen. Case closed.

He said on 60 minutes his biggest win ever was 3.5 million on the Saints last year. I have a very hard time believing a pro in Walters would put that much on one play. Maybe 1.3 million, but no way 13 million. He's smarter then to risk that much on one play.

if he put 13 million on a superbowl in a toss up game, then he is either

a. an idiot

b. knows a fix is in

c. has so much $$ that he just bets because he has nothing else to do with his $$

i say c, its an ego thing but i guarantee he didnt lay 13 large and never would on any game, let alone a super bowl with such a short room for error with the line.

ps was at the covers party last night and a couple of higher ups in vegas line making told me the rumour is walters wants it to go pittsburgh plus 3 then he is all over it

I have a friend who works in casino sportsbook. You said the bet was made right after the championship game. The spread opened at 3 points. If 13 million was wgaered the spread would have jumped to get action on pittsburgh side. He told me the spread dropped to 2.5 in one hr because of Pittsburgh bets. Just Though I would throw that out there. as for myself

Love the thought process and most astute thing I've seen pointed out on this thread. However, it would be possible--it's just under 300lbs in $100bills. So assuming this fantasy world of a scenario he probably wouldn't be walking around alone with that much scratch anyhow. 3-4 guys could muster up that amount of weight... otherwise they themselves probably wouldn't be worth their weight to help protect it in the first place. That being said... this I'm sure is TOTALLY bogus.

seen mayweather make more than 300 k in bets and the bag he ( his buddy carried the cash) carried it in wasnt big at all

I'm pretty sure this did not happen.  His largest wager in his life, according to him was 3.5m on NO last year.  He does not leave his house to make a bet.  There is little to no chance that there is any truth to this story.  Also, according to him, he like to place his wagers within the last hour.

This right here is all you need to know that its not true.  If he bet that amount why would the line drop plain and simple.

Also for those that like Pitt +3 Bet365 has had that line out all week long.
