Are you ready for some football????

Sup fellas, I'm new to the site, and pretty much new to the game.  I've been betting the last 3 years, almost strictly limiting myself to NFL games.  I've only bet on a handful of College Football games in my entire life, so I'm far from an expert, hardly an opinion worth listening to.  I'm starting this thread just to document my progress, and if I happen to become good at making picks maybe I'll be able to help some people with their decisions in the process. 

I'd like to wish everybody the best of luck this season.

Feel free to chime in and tell me why you don't like my pick, or why you do like it.  If you have any betting strategies, whether it's ways to make picks, or ways to play them, please feel free to let me know.  I'm trying to absorb all I can from the online betting community. Again, good luck to everybody.

Alrighty, here are some picks from a newbie.  I apologize for no write-ups and what not, just documenting my picks for the weekend.  Most of these are just "fading the public" games that I really like.  It worked in CFB all day, so hopefully the NFL will be giving us some wins as well.

San Diego Chargers -9 (2 units) maybe more depending on if I win or not on Sunday.

I probably won't be able to resist the Packer game on SNF, so will probably chime in after the afternoon games.  Leaning towards GB for now.

I can't believe how bad Jake Delhomme sucks.  What a piss ass of a fantasy player.  Still came out on top though thanks to the beasts of the east New York Jets.  Since I'm still up in NFL wagering, going to ride with the Packers tonight.  It's a pretty good match-up that could go either way, but the Bears are thin in the secondary this year and that should make them ripe for the picking for Mr. Rodgers and company.

Ahem.  WOW! What a game! That Packers game was INSANE!  Damn near had a heart attack LOL! But rolling strong into Monday Night... Here is an updated record.

Made the mistake of betting too many games in one day.  Lost my head for a quick minute and paid the price.  Here's an updated record.

As of 9/21/09

Still up ten units, but only at a very human 63% overall and at a disgraceful 50% for NFL bets.  Looking to improve with Miami on Monday Night.  I will take the +3 and hope the trends continue for the +3 underdogs.

Alright had a bad week with NFL last week, and college football wasn't good today either.  Going for some hitters this week though in the NFL.

Want to improve my NFL chip count so going a little heavy and bettin' all da (winning) chips in one game.

Atlanta Falcons +5 (3 units)
Over in Atlanta/New England  47  (3 units)

I see Boston boy Matt Ryan returning to New England for a big game.  His team is better than New England and the Atlanta offense will be too much for the NE defense to handle.  I see Brady and company fighting back though and the game will be decided by a FG.  Either way, the points favor the Falcons.

Thanks waterscliff3... it was a boo hoo day for me.  Been busy so couldn't get the night game in but would've lost anyways

After a ridiculously hot start I have gone ridiculously cold.  Still up one unit but in reality because of juice I'm actually down a bit.  We'll just call it even.  Let's start it all over... still got a bankroll so just got to go easy and build it again slowly...

Dude, I give U credit, your record isnt good (NFL)but you keep on posting. Screw the idiot haters who tail ya like your a pro and then blame u when they lose!! Anyway, the ONLY team I cant play is the Giants ( I'm a homer) and I dont like this spot. In your favor though I heard A.P. say this week that they "couldnt afford to look ahead, and they will be focused". Gl on the G Men. I do think this is the week Sanchez is a rookie though! GL

Hey thanks jackal. 

Nobody has posted anything negative here, but I don't know what they might be saying elsewhere.  I keep posting to keep track of my record, for my own accounting purposes.  I got a little lucky at the start of College Football but have since cooled off like an iceberg.  Whoever is tailing me is crazy (at least for NFL) right now because right now I straight up suck.  GMen are looking good and I did put in for Houston (which I won't count here because I didnt post before the game) but that is just one game.  It's a long season, we just got to remember to stick with whatever game plan we chose and trust that our picking skills will overcome in the end.  There's no need to panic yet.  Anyways, good luck to you jackal and everyone else to.

Whoa last week was ok, only a one unit come-up, but a come up is a come up.  This has been the week I have been waiting for, great games to bet on and WIN.  I know my record stinks, but I have full confidence these games will hit.  Also included will be my first 3 unit bet of the year.
