Plenty of rumors around WNY that BILLS OC Brian Daboll and Mitch Trubisky are a package deal..
Don't laugh Mitch is probably better than half the starters in the league ..( Call me rhe next time the Bears make the playoffs in 2 of 4 years)
Supposedly Trubisky was fantastic running the scout team offense all season in practice... While the preseason means nothing he also played very well there... Daboll is 100× better than whatever scrubs he worked for in Chicago ...
If they move on to the Giants I'll immediately take a flier on them to make playoffs and win division at longer odds ...

I’ve always been a Mitch supporter, but he’s not better than half the starters in the league. It doesn’t mean he can’t be, but he’s not there right now. He will definitely get a chance to start somewhere though.

Trubisky will be a starting QB in the league again. That being said, who's BUFFs backup QB if they don't have Mitch? You know with Josh's style of play an injury is coming sooner or later. BUFF more than most teams needs a good backup because of that.

I said it a hundred times in the past. Trubisky's success went downhill when Nagy tried to make him a pure pocket passer. The kid ain't bad on the move. Clearly Dabol's system is a good fit for him.
Trubisky was the perfect backup for Allen. It's just that Allen has proven himself impervious to injury(to this point).

Do they have history together? What makes you say this? I do agree Mitch is a better QB than what was shown in Chicago. Nagy is sooo bad
Their history is this season in Buffalo , not sure what they have previois ..But at mid season Daboll sounded like he talked Trubisky into coming here and working on his mechanics ....
I strongly believe Trubisky will flourish in Dabolll's offense ..

I'm not sure Montana or Brady would have looked good in Chicago with Nagy ...
With a year under his belt learning Daboll's offense I think he'll hit the ground running wherever they land together ( assuming that happens )

As a Bears fan, I agree. We also didn’t have anywhere close to the weapons that you guys do either. Mitch is at his best on the move making two reads. The Bears tried to have him go through four. Reading of defenses is not a strength & that’s where Daboll comes in. He would play to his strengths & have success.

As a 51 year fan of the Bills, I’m deeply concerned as I know you are my friend. Do you think after that 13 second debacle that would of happened under Bill Bellichick’s coaching staff? Absolutely not!! He would of called a time out, and had a game plan with his Special Team’s coach on how Bass should of kicked that ball with 13 seconds remaining.
We cannot go into next season DoubleUp with McDermott as head coach especially when you have the best quarterback in the NFL, like you said in a previous thread, you’re wasting his talent. McDermott since 2017; “Trust the Process.” Screw your process Opie Taylor!! I’m done with your Sub-Par coaching! Pegula’s have a major decision to make in the offseason, after the anger and discontent I’m hearing all week on WGR 550. Man after that monumental collapse, it was like a punch to my gut and I know you feel the same way.
Call me crazy brother but I’m thinking Bill Bellichick. He’s enamoured by Josh Allen’s talent, and with the right QB structure he can give Josh, he can make him better than Tom Brady! Let the pundits laugh at that but it’s true. Who is given locker room status after the Wild Card game against the Patriots to go and congratulate Josh Allen? No one other than Bill Bellichick! Bill knows that he will never win another Super Bowl with Matt Jones as the Patriots QB. Other than getting out of that contract with Robert Kraft it would be the perfect fit for the Bills.
I’d like to hear your thoughts on this brother DoubleUp along with another respected capper I hold in high regard mrusso.

I'm deeply thankful it won't be Jake Fromm ....
Fitzpatrick was here with no shirt on rooting on the BILLS in the playoff win over the Patriots ....Maybe he comes back ???
I hope they draft a mobile qb in April ...The QB from Kent St reminds me of Allen , except he's much slower , lacks accuracy and decision making and floats the deep ball ..lol

That's exactly what my Bears fan buddies say ..." Nagy messed up Trubisky trying to turn him into a pocket qb " ....
I could see the BILLS drafting a qb 4th round or later .....Fitzpatrick could be back as well.

What do you think about Justin Fields over the next few years?? I'd love to see the Bears win the division (sick of Rodgers soap opera drams in Green Bay )

If I were Beane I'd give McDermott one more year to win the AFC .....If he fails , arrivederci...
You and I could both be wrong about McDermott not calling a squib or sky high kick ...Rumor on the streets is Bass failed to execute the called play on the kickoff ...That still doesn't excuse 2 plays of the worst Swiss cheese PREVENT defense I've ever seen ...
Bill B would be a massive upgrade but I'd give it less than 0.003 chance ...That's would be the NFL'S offseason wet dream though ....
Sean Payton makes sense , but then again almost 0% chance ( Unless he comes in as the new offensive coordinator ) ...
WGR is very difficult to listen to after any BILLS lose , but I've taken it off my presets after Sundays biggest CHOKE in franchise history.....
Next season can't get here fast enough for our BILLS , but for me I'm burnt out on the NFL and sports investing...Looking forward to an extended break ...

I’m a Chicago guy and I can tell you Trubisky is an inaccurate passer, many times in Chicago he missed wide open receivers and he feels pressure when there is none. I wouldn’t want him as a backup he’s never going to be successful in the NFL

I love the delusions of Bills fans. Trubisky is better than half the leagues QBs in the way Nick Foles in better. Of Fitzmagic. There's a reason these guys never stick. They can have a stretch of games where they turn into freakin' Joe Montana but they always revert back to the mean. I mean, Foles won a Super Bowl. Goff went to a Super Bowl. Tebow won a playoff game. Going to the playoffs twice means jack. Hurts just went to the playoffs.
Chicago overreached on Trubisky. He had one good year in Chapel Hill, Chapel Hill, then Chicago jumped all over him. As far as the QBs he's better than, there is a fair argument for that but look at a lot of those teams. Either they have young QBs, with maybe more upside, I mean I'm not taking Mitch over Mac Jones in the Patriots offense, or aging veteran guys like Matt Ryan. Trubisky was handcuffed by Nagy. And he does have a lot tools. And if I'm Buffalo's OC, I want a 6th year guy who knows my offense. He's experienced, has a ton of life in his body, and has spent a year in the offense but let's not act like teams are falling all over themselves for Mitch Trubisky. Doing well running the Bills' scout team doesn't equate to being better than half the QBs in the league. If he was, he wouldn't be running the Bills' scout team. I know Buffalo loves him but he's Nick Foles until he proves otherwise, imo.

I've been dogging BILLS qbs 15 years here on covers ( including Allen ) ...So that Fan boy stuff doesn't apply ...
I'm simply going off of everything he has done here ...Thought the season his teammates, coaches and the media have given him extremely high praises ...
Josh Allen has said that Trubisky is like having another coach on the sideline who can see things that are happening during the game and help him understand what to do. Also He mentioned Trubisky made him elevate his game after seeing Mitch consistently make very tough throws in practice....
Offensive teammates have said he is all about bringing teammates together as one cohesive unit ..Purposely sitting with the dbs one day and the DLINE the next ..
Coaches have said time and time again that Mitch is like a giant sponge who quickly learned the offense and is willing to help anyone on a daily basis get better at their job ...
The defensive players say that Trubisky helped helped them earn that #1 pass ranking by being able to make all the throws during practice..Which kept the dbs heads on a swivel during games knowing that the ball could come there way at any time..
While it was only preseason , he torched the Bears ..Would have nearly perfect had Kummerow not dropped like 5 balls...lol
I could be way off, but I think Trubisky has a lot to prove after getting away from those shet bag owners and coaching staff in Chicago ....if he gets his chance this year I think Bears fans are going to be piased he slipped away for nothing..
