if u want to talk about "the best ever at a position" u have to look at every aspect of the position. as great as he is at picking off passes and taking them to the house, reed is not a force when it comes to stopping the run or making open field tackles.

love reed, but he needs to improve his tackling...he's always missing tackles, and dudes like chris johnson will always make him look silly...reed wouldn't stand up jacobs like dawkins does either....playmaking safety = reed, best hitter = lott, best overall = dawkins

Dawkins out of his prime has 34 more, Dawkins has more sacks. Only thing reed is better at is picking the ball he has 9 to dawkins 1 but dawkins loves hitting and has 6 forced fumbles compared to reeds 1.
