Yeah Reed is the best safety, but that long haired woman from Pittsburgh has the Ravens number. I know Reed is the best right now but Polamalu is not that far behind. BTW not a Pitt fan. Go EAGLES

Dawkins isnt that great, he is more emotional and a better leader than reed but he is a liability in coverage, not to mention reed is usually the fastest guy on the field.

Reed looks good bc the opposing QB sucks at throwing and EXCELLENT at throwing INT's. I Think Reed is good but when you are playing INT throwing machine like Romo and Chad the stats dont really "add" up. Now if he did all of those things to Manny, Brady etc then i think hes the best but not against some of the worse QBs in the league. Troy is the best in the book if you look at his whole career up to date.

It's too close.  They're both freaks of nature.
 
Reed is a freak when it comes to scoring TD's and ballhawking.  Troy is a freak at run support, solid tackling, ballhawking.  The guy is a human missle.  His teammates call him the Tazmanian Devil.  He can also play anywhere on the field and do anything on the field.  The argument could go on forever. 
 
Honestly though, have you ever seen a more impressive catch by anyone in NFL history (receivers included) than the one by Troy in the SD game?  I think not.  Humans should not be able to do things like that.

I'm not denying anyone. I'm just saying all the talk so far in this thread has been about picks which is ridiculous. Polamolu is the better tackler and run stuffer, he is all over the field on every single play and his ball skills aren't that far off from Reed.

I just think Polamalu is the better overall player right now but they are 1 and 1a.

Ummmmmmmmmm  Chad had 7 picks all year...that would be 16 games junior.  Ravens got 4 today, Reed 2...........nuf said

ch33, that is the funniest post in covers history.  Chad doesn't turn the ball over period.  And, Reed once picked MANNING THREE TIMES IN A PLAYOFF GAME.  Guy does it against the best and the worst.
