You said best Ever... And if Dawkins, in his prime, had the defensive support like Reed has with Ravens, he would have just as many picks. I have never seen so many bad throws by QB's because of the excellent work by the Ravens front...

Ed Reed is great in coverage but that little girl in Pittsburgh is a more complete safety! Better against the run, better all around player! But not by much!

He has come up with some of the most amazing picks that anyone has ever seen.
His open field running ability with the ball is one half notch below Reed.
Polamalu, with his intelligence, has set new standards for what a safety should be able to do. Lebeau lines him up everywhere on the field because he is capable of doing so many things. He does things that a safety (and this is fact) has never done before.
Dont get caught up in the moment. I dont know who is better. But I do know that it is nothing short of ridiculous to insinuate that one or the other is without a doubt better than the other.
You done laughing? Go ahead and reply. I need a laugh too.

Polamalu is as better. Laugh it up.
Polamalu is better in run support.
He's just a fast if not faster.

Hard to argue with that. Reed = money. He makes plays and scores touchdowns. Followed him for years and he can singlehandedly change a game and has done so many times.

And people keep bringing up people in front of him, yet everytime I talk to Steelers fans, they tell me about their unreal front 7 and how much pressure they get. Look at their sack and hurried numbers.
So which is it????

gotta keep in mind that since pittsburgh has the most super bowl trophies, they've generated a lot of fairweather fans who back winners and they know very little of the game

I guess you've already made up your mind. I dont know that interceptions and return yardage make a safety. There may be more to it. And just because I'm a Steeler fan does not mean I'll automatically side with Troy.
Also, I dont need to look at the posts in this thread. It really doesn't mean anything to me what people in this thread think. Not on this topic.
It's a good argument. Who was the better QB? Montana or Marino? Who was the better RB? Sweetness or Jim Brown? We could go on and on. But I have to eat right now. Be back later.

reed may get the picks, but id go out on a limb and say half of them are because of ray lewis coming at the QB and the QB getting scared and just throws it up to protect himself.
Ray Lewis best defensive player in football with out a doubt.

Gotta keep in mind too that there are alot of stupid fans out there for all of the teams. I've been a fan for over 30 years. And I know football. So what's your point? I don't think you have one.
