I saw this kid play high school football for 4 years around here.

One of the quickest, most talented kids on the football field I ever saw.

I think the Steelers were wise to sign him.

good move..he has skills...steelers front office knows how to develop WR's...look back at the last 5-8 yrs or so...

I disagree, I like the niner recievers. Morgan and Crabtree can start on any team. Jason hill is another Bruce in the making. And with Bruce when was he gona get time?

I knew the kid would be special someday (even though I can't spell his fuking name)

He played plenty of QB and can throw.  That makes for some interesting play calling on reverses and shit.

I wouldn't waste a spot on my fantasy team with this guy.
Front office must be looking at the because they wasn't looking at the talent.Signing Randle-El stands to have better shot than Battle's and that's not say much....

"develop" for their system, you see? they could get 3 good years out of him as the 3 WR in the set...or fuk it..."wild cat" his ass, everyone else is doing it, why wouldn't steelers?

Hines Ward, Santonio Holmes, Mike Wallace and Heath Miller

Battle and Randle El are nothing more than special teams help and the number five option in the passing game.

The steelers allowed 4 td's on Kickoffs. The word is Battle can play special teams. If a player can do more than one thing on your team there is value, really that simple.The also signed Will Allen, a decent back up safety and a good special teamer.
