Humm...You say that the Steelers won the superbowl by fluke and that they wouldn't make the playoffs the following year. Easy to post that shit now but bud, how can you say they were a fluke when they dominated the league the year before they won it.
 
The year they did win it, they earned it by beating the best teams to get there.
 
The fluke bud was for big Ben wrecking his body before the season started and getting off to such a bad start, losing games they dominateed because mostly of Ben's bad play. that was the fluke...
 
Your original post is just garbage...which is why i had to reply i guess.
 
I don't reply to post with merits, people who post on a weekly basis and actually post their picks BEFORE hand, with ome logical explanation. Those post i just read and try to pick up on stuff.

Don't worry about everyone on here, if you just continue to pick winners then the negative feedback will come and go, but you will develop some solid insight on games you didn't look into and back you off games that weren't as good as originally selected.

Personally,with all due respect,I thought that the Steelers won the big game (superbowl) because of some of the most horrific officiating I have ever seen in a pro game.Seattle touchdowns that were disallowed, Big Bens crawl that was at least a yard short of the endzone etc.etc.Not many teams are going to lose when they are spotted three major scores. Pitts was a good team but they got a lot of help getting there.

I love when people try to downplay what I predicted as if I never said it just because I never posted it on Covers.com, as if its the pearly gates and Jesus himself shows you the website.  Get real.  I did say the Steelers were a fluke because 5 teams that were better than Pittsburg deserved to win that year.  Cinci.  NE.  Indy.  Phil.  Sea. 
 
After all of this, I really hope my personal philosophies give me another solid week!  If not, I will continue to post anyway because I know I will make up for an offweek.  But I'm confident in my picks.  Obviously.

The horrific oficiating in the playoffs that year happened in the Indy game..whcih was the only reason why that game was close...that and the bus fumbling at the goal line of course.

Why is this so hard for you to understand?  You didn't post your picks last week, so we don't really know that you went 6-0.  We are "downplaying" it because we didn't see it.  But, no one is telling you not to post your plays...  That's what this forum is for.
 
Even if you did go 6-0, big deal.  It was one nice week, congrats to you.  But if you're looking for anone to kiss your butt and tell you how great you are after your unposted 6-0, it clearly isn't going to happen.
 
If you have another great week this week - THEN you can come back in this thread and bubble over in a giant display of self-aggrandizement. 
 
...and most of us will congratulate you. 
 
That being said, I like some of your picks & I do wish you luck.  I laid a 2-3 egg last week, so maybe that's not such a good thing for you...

I see you lean SD but don't play them. They're probably a better play then anything you're on.

Taking a verbal beating here!
I can assure you that I do not feel half as bad as the Saints or Seahawks.  Week 2 for me looks dismal,  but thankfully I added a big bet on the Cowboys to cover 4 and used that with a Cowboys over 40 parlay -- and also added a late Packers win.  Luckily my wallet didn't run thin this weekend thanks to the boys.  For my "gimme" bets, the Saints and Seahawks really let me down.

I went 3-3 in my "easy" picks posted, and since I added GB to beat NYG on the bet card (which actually matters more than covers.com),  I went 4-3.  I went a big 0 fer in my parlays, minus the Dallas -4 and 40+ over parlay.
 
On my "close calls" picks, I am currently 2-1.  So if NE beat SD,  I will still finish 6-5.

Yeah, well, one parlay made up for the rest!

I will talk about the Saints more in my Week 3 post, but I may be starting to believe that it is the Saints that are the Steelers of last year, not the Bears.  Hope all of you had a solid day!

If you managed to read the several posts I wrote about how the 6-0 WASN'T a big deal due to the fact they were easy, you wouldn't have been sitting on such a high horse today.  Don't bother to post here unless A)  You have ALL the facts correct from my side. and B)  You can post CORRECT numbers (again, 1-5?)  (I'm 6-4 right now, bub!)
