If so you're a total idiot. That matchup was not a clear indicator of anything...really, the steelers were the hungry team there and the titans got props for smacking the ravens around so they were overvalued. It supports the trend if anything, and image DOES have to do with how a team performs.
A 5-0 team hears about how great they are all week. They aren't quite as focused and expect to coast. A hungry 1-4 team is desperate for victory. They play hard from the start, prepare well, and may use trick plays or new schemes to create a competitive advantage. The favorite has no incentive to innovate so the dog should be prepared for most formations. The dog may not win but may cover the spread.
I'm not sure why you post back to back comments criticizing others opinions when you obviously have nothing to offer.

I've played this trend in the past successfully, a couple of times. My problem with St.Louis is the Packers. This may be the best team on the other side of that stat, ever. Certainly, they are near the top. Now I'll grant you, I'm still stinging a little bit over the Falcons home loss catching 7 points Sunday night and swearing I would never bet against Aaron Rodgers ever again ( I also said that after last years Super Bowl). Still, it's a strong trend that cannot be ignored. Of course, so was Tampa Bay and their dazzling 10-0-1 ATS record on the road the last 10 trips they had taken, until Sunday at San Fran that is (I didn't play).
And then there is Miami at the Jets. New QB, Matt Moore to an already struggling offense against what has to be a very angry Jets team. And they can't pressure the QB. Jets offensive should be happy about that. And Sanchez. And Jet fans.

There was a thread this week that was a 90% + trend involving Carolina +7 and Denver +4. Carolina beat the spread, Den lost by a point on a late FG. That said, I'll play Miami and St. Louis with the points but this time I'll tease the 2 also (shoulda coulda woulda done it last time)
