Regarding the tight ATS finish to Game 3 -
Those crying the blues because Boozer bricked both at the line have only themselves to blame. This game was available at -4 all day yesterday, and for a few hours this morning. After that, -4.5 was still out there to be had into the afternoon. If you got on board late (and even I did for a part of my action), well, that's the price you pay for not having your shit together. Me included. And even for those guys who have just one local and he doesn't open up his dinky office until the afternoon and all you got was -5, all I can tell you is that you're not in a position to win as much as you can.
The best handicappers will still only show a meager profit if all they can bet into are average lines. The real money is made by those who can pick decently AND always get good numbers. I've always preached that you must strive to stick the bookie with a shitty bet. If you lay -5 -110 when you could have had -4 -110, then you're essentially letting The Man have the Lakers at +5 +110. You're letting him book your action at a great price (by the way, my -5 was -102, but whatever, still bad).
