On a serious note, I was thoroughly UNIMPRESSED by BOTH teams today. The Spurs just looked pathetic on offense today. The Suns overall just didn't look like a contender out there, I think they may have just played the Spurs on the right day, a VERY off day offensively.
I guess the good news for us Lakers fans is the Suns helped out our Lakers by extending the stranglehold on the #1 spot in the West.
1. Lakers 44-18 (45-18 after they spank the Queens tonight)
2. Spurs 43-19
3. Rockets 42-20
4. Hornets 42-20
5. Jazz 42-22
6. Suns 41-22

In 2004 the Lakers went to the Finals. in 02, they swept Jersey in the Finals.
Okay, Phoenix did beat the Spurs. Good for them; I lost on that one. But if you didn't see the game, the Suns got a LOT of help from the refs. ...I was impressed by the defense though. Unlike the Celtics game, it wasn't a situation where the Spurs were missing wide open jumpers. There were a lot more contested shots.
So good for the Suns. however, a shelling of the Grizz isn't impressive. I did watch that one. Neither played defense. It was a joke of a game.
I slept most of the day, and I left my offer at MB up last night, so I missed out on a ton of value. I only have Warriors +252.84. You can get more like 280 to 300 now, and I think that's excellent value.
This may be an extremely high scoring game, so if you like the Warriors, 6pts is 2 possessions. Don't bother with the points. Take the ML.
GL tonight gentlemen.

redbearde I am not a Suns fan. All my point above was that you jumped the gun when writing this team off without really giving them a chance to gel with Shaq. A few losses during the transition phase didn't mean shit, look what they are doing to teams in the past 2 weeks. As we speak they are taking the Rockets apart.
By no means are they championship favourites but they certainly won't be missing the playoffs. Bold prediction by you yes, correct prediction not even close. They will be vying for #1 seed in the washup IMO especially given the way Spurs and Mavs have seemingly tailed off this season.

All you Suns haters, their win streak is up to 7. Everybody on the team is rolling. Shaq just posted 23 points and 13 boards on 8-10 shooting from the field and 7-9 from the line. And all the attention he's getting is letting Amare go nuts. 38 points, 13 boards and 4 blocks for the young stud.
Celtics and Suns Finals, here we come!
