OKC v Indiana

OKC is well rested for this one and should allow for a very high scoring game against a struggling and inconsistent Indiana outfit. Granger was back for the Pacers yesterday. He does allow for a potent forward presence as he is one of the hottest shooters on his day.

The Pacers are a contrast to what they were last year and this is entirely due to not being able to play with the same team night in and night out. I think this will change in time. The Pacers do have 3 of the better big man shooters.

Still soft on the D though

Orlando v Atlanta
Total: 196.5

The Magic have choked away most games they have lost this year. Their lack of composure and poor defense in the closing stages of the past 4 games have resulted in them losing them all.

The Magic are definitely showing a lack of respect for opponents and this is what is costing them. They will not be able to that with Atlanta - a team that they could face in the Playoffs. The history between these 2 is mix and match. I will go with the mix and say this should be a highly defensive one.

Both coming off back2backs but strangely, it is the Magic that will have the most pressure in this one. The Magic to lose 5 in a row.

Charlotte v Memphis
Total: 199

Memphis played Utah who dragged them down to a sub par level with some ugly basketball which lacked flow on offense and just killed the potential for a high scoring game.

Charlotte are no better and are certainly one of the worst looking offenses in the NBA. Still, Memphis are not exactly a great team on the D and I expect that the Bobcats may have a good time exposing this.

Memphis are not too bad on back2backs but they do keep teams in Games. I am expecting this to be close but also expect some good scoring flow here with Memphis finding the right options.

Really? Charlotte one of the worst?  Have you seen them lately? they got things together.  Just cause they are a young team, don't disregard them as on of the worst.

I think the Indy pick has some merits.  But Atlanta tends to score per their competition and their young so playing last night doesn't matter - I'd strongly recommend the ATL over.

I'm not saying they are a bad team at all. I like this team. I'm saying they are one of the worst looking offenses and seem to take upto 14 seconds to set up players and a further 6 seconds to rotate or find a scoring player. That leaves them 4 seconds to shoot.

I really don't even think they know what offense they are setting up. I blame the PGs for this. They have the worst one's in the NBA.

I'm surprised at the scoreline here though. Memphis have been shooting poorly themselves and are now playing according to what the other teams play instead of dictating the game and tempo.

Overs backers will enjoy seeing them get back on track because they will get the points on most nites.

Yeah Lakers on the ML or handicap should be the pick.

Clippers for mine. They have too many options for Miami. Wade will need to score 40+ for Miami to win. Clips in a landslide imo. Kaman will have a day out in the paint.

I'm on the Tennis betting so I haven't had a chance to look at the totals. I will probably lay low for the next 2 days on totals.

Some of the games are just farcical lately - Chicago and NJ was ridiculous with 63 in the final period screwing unders bettors and the same with Dallas and Utah (59 in final qtr) - just a joke with junk time coming too early and no defense being played.

This is the danger with NBA. Teams can score a lot of points if no D is played. I'm glad i stayed out of some games.

Yeah. Taking a couple of days off as at tennis circuit.

That Lakers game - 61 points in the final Qtr. This really is some bullshit happening in NBA. It would have screwed Unders betting if the teams had scored a decent number of points in 1st Half.

Kinda getting fed up across the board with the laziness of teams refusing to play any defense regardless of the fact they may be 20 points behind in the final qtr. No excuse whatsoever for these displays. Lakers are such a bunch of arrogant assholes with the Defense - I'm sure they don't even know how to spell the word.

don't you think keeping MIL to 28 1st half pts ( perhaps a season low for any team ? ) shows that maybe defense was their mantra tonight ?

sort of hard to really turn the defensive screws in the 4th Q , when they had the job done in the first 3 Q's .....
sure,..2nd Half under backers would have been livid...but with such a low 1st half total...why anyone would have taken under in the 2nd half is beyond me


there's a lot of things we can criticise the LAL for....but defense,..tonight  ?

besides , even with a 61 pt 4th Q ,..the game still cruised home for an easy easy under,..so i'm not sure where this hate is aimed at...

don't get me wrong...i fucking hate the Lakers.....not for their defense..but for their 4th Q meltdown's  where they are double digit favs at home,..the bench comes on,...has an 0 - 16 run against them,..and all of a sudden,..an easy Lakers cover...turns into a sweat for LAL M/L backers....

that's my main gripe with the LAL...but tonight was not one of those nights.....

True - but I attribute Milwaukee's 28 points to their poor shooting. This team is absolutely shocking since Jennings has had more focus from defenders.  Look at their recent history and they have shown scant offense and it's not until these 4th Qtrs that they score when there isn't much to play for.

The NBA Total betting is ridiculous as what were recent covers have been blown aside by trashy defense by all teams.

Chicago are another trash side that adds respectability to their poor scoring with no D at any point in junk time. I guess thats what junk time is - for junk teams who have been shredded apart early.

Thats a good point. You lose alot of the fun of betting. I mean the Bookies just love to risk going down so doesn't mean we have to risk it ourselves. Always make sure money you win goes to you. Spend it on stuff and never bet what you can't get back on the next bet.
