After last night's meltdown versus the Lakers, I think you'd be hard pressed to find many people supporting the Jazz tonight. After holding L.A. in check for the first half of yesterday's game, Utah simply imploded. They scored a whopping total of 6 points in the 4th quarter, and were outscored by 28 points in the second half alone. They failed to cover the 2nd Half spread and game spread, and that led to a lot of pissed of bettors... Many of whom felt Utah would be able to steal a win and snap the Champs winning streak. Unfortunatley, it was not to be.
Tonight the Utah Jazz lace'em up yet again for the second of back to back games against another powerhouse team in the Magic. Like the Lakers, Orlando has been on a mission lately. Winners of 6 in a row with only 2 road losses all year, the Magic looked poised for yet another deep playoff run come April.
Here's what I'm thinking. This game is going to draw a lot of Orlando support simpily based on what happen in L.A. last night. I had a feeling Utah would get blown out but never expected them to collapse the way they did. Does anyone else not find it a tad covenient that Orlando is only a -3 favorite here? I mean we can argue the accuracy of the spread all you want, the truth is -3 looks like an early Christmas present based of what transpired last night. It's almost too good to be true. You can be sure that a lot of pissed of Utah supporters from last night jump ship and ride Orlando in this spot.
If you are thinking about taking the Magic tonight, be prepared for yet another agonizing NBA betting experience.

Am on it big time, and for the same reason. This is a team with self-respect—gobs of it. When you have a coach like Jerry Sloan, you'll have players who'll play even with one leg remaining.
ORL will have to wait for PHX or INDI to get its next win.

I think the line is good, home field advantage and a little pressure in the paint on Howard could cause him foul troubles, in which case Jazz should have a big advantage inside. The problem here is the movement of the ball vs movement of the feet. I wouldn't be too surprised if Magic puts together a big 4th quarter when Jazz gets to be a little slower, and if those 3's start falling...
Also, Jazz is just bad as a small home dog (winning 37% over last 8 years), particularly on no rest: 0-6 SU (avg loss 14pts) since 2001.
Good thing is they are playing after big loss and teams do have a tendency to be more motivated then

im a strong believer in loosing comes in bunches... orlando has watched tape on this disaster in LA and will do the same to utah tonight! bol to everyone.. the magic are tooooooooooo deep of a team and lethal on the perimeter.. they arent one dimensional like Utah... utah mainly pounds the ball into the paint and gets alot of their points off back door cuts... utah has no perimeter game with the exception of okur. okur shit the bed against LA. ontop of everything kirelenko is injured. only downside to this magic team is the point guard position. after they build a lead which they will, dwight howard will be putting in work in the paint and making freethrows aswell.
BOL to everyone... btw the public isnt always wrong.

But not making this decision based of yesterdays collpase by utah.
Talking about coaching, sure sloan is a good coach but the same can be said by Van Gundy and if the magic start playing bad he rip's into them.
The magic defense is similar to the lakers, and utah will struggle with that, lewis was off agaisnt the clippers so expect him to hit a lot of 3's this game.
Utah overall is a good team, but not as deep or contenders like the magic. Magic know they gotta win every game for home court adv. because they have the celtics and cavs in their conference and ATL breathing down on them in their division.

It's not like Utah is in a slump, they're 7-3 in their last 10 and only lost last night so at wost tonight would be second in a row. Utah is playing b2b and 5th game in a week, Magic only playing their 3rd in the last week. Although the magic play tomorrow, this is their 3rd consecutive road game and had to have planned for this road trip going into it. I'm going with ORL in this game and already leaning on Phoenix tommorw. Good luck with your picks.
