Jambo fellas!!! Really glad to be back posting. Missed my covers brothers. Finally got business taken care of here. Got the much needed contract I needed here in Kenya and now I have a month and a half to relax! Got a cottage by the beach, have a box full a J & B Whiskey, 75 fully rolled joints, satellite hooked up so I can watch my precious NBA basketball and am ready to get rolling again! Exited and finally relaxed now that business is done. I will try to be as consistent as possible depending on how the fiber optics network and internet co-operates here is Kenya.
So far am 5-2 posting on covers since getting to Kenya. I have bet considerably more then that, but nothing to brag about at all at 17-11 total with some measly profit since I have been betting very small. Keep in mind I have not watched a single game since I left Toronto, however I have been keeping up with box scores, recaps and stats more then usual. Granted I have said that is not even close to enough and it is imperative for me to watch games in order to get a real feel for teams. Nevertheless I really think I have a decent grasp on how the season has progressed since I have left.
I hope each and everyone of my covers brothers have has a prosperous and profitable past month and hope to join you guys as together we mafuta (swahili for Murda) the bookie. Kwaheri (Good Luck) fellas. Peace out - - - Your relaxed & very happy homie - - - Mak.
MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES + 7.0 (-110) - - - I absolutely love what the coaching staff have done with the Tims lineup recently. They have allowed Al Jefferson to play his natural position as Power Forward. Last year Big Al was massive and was able to body up on big 5 men. After his knee injury he was forced to cut a lot of muscle and weight in order to put less pressure on his knees. In doing so his ability to guard and score on the NBA's best 5 men was hindered considerably. With Love being absent for the start of the season it was up to Al to handle most of the pain down low. He slowly withered away and Minny looked like a team in deep turmoil. Now Minny's coaching staff decided to place Ryan Hollins a very long, athletic big man at the starting 5 spot allowing Al to play his natural position and he has flourished as has his team. Even most of their recent losses were battles. Kevin Love coming off the bench is an asset most top-tier teams do not have. In my opinion this 2nd year player is one of the best offensive rebounders I have ever seen, I can only imagine what he will do with experience. After Ryan Gomes injured himself, he looked like a shell of his former self. RG has finally got it going and he is a very very big part to this team's recent success. Ramon Sessions was an awesome off-season pickup but didn't seem to fit in right away, now this back-up PG is starting to run the team as good as Johnny Flynn if not better. Corey Brewer is a very under-rated perimeter defender and would be an asset to any team. This team has talent no doubt, all they needed was a little confidence and their recent run has given them just that. Despite Philly on a run of their own I think 7 points is way too much here as these teams are quite even roster wise. I will gladly take the points here. It's a beautiful full moon tonight in Kenya and hope the Tims continue to howl.

DETROIT PISTONS + 8.0 (-110) - - - Yea I know, you must think Mak has been on a deserted island to ever put money on the Pisssy Pistons. I understand hos horribly atrocious they have been. I really think the coach and team are quite dejected because their roster has way too much talent to be fucking around like this. When they acquired Ben and Villy I thought this team was going to be sick. Little did I know that Rip would stop caring since they traded his girlfriend Chancy. Tay would stop caring since his anorexic ass got injured and little did I know that Ben Wallace would be playing the best ball on the team. I love their rookie Jerebko, he is a stud and has a lot of versatile talent. Injuries have plagued this team and they have only had both Rodney and Will playing PG together in a handful of games. I guess I have blind optimism in this team. I guess I just refuse to believe that a team stacked with this much talent can consistently shit on themselves night in and night out. Enough is enough at this point. +8 is too much here. They are not playing a western powerhouse. They are playing a Bucks team that they match-up well with. Call me crazy but I would not even be surprised with a straight up win here. I will take the pistons and the points and hope they don't piss all over themselves as per their usual routine.

DENVER NUGGETS - 6.0 (-115) - - - Love
the Nugs in every aspect. Without Mello they showed they could still
contend with the best of em. A lot of role players stepped up and
showed they can fill a role if need be. Ty Lawson has to be the steal
of the draft. He is an exceptional rookie PG with a lot of potential
and massive upside. I like him backing up CB. Billups has to be
considered one of the best PG's in the game today. Despite his no
flash style, who else can say they have led their respective teams to
consecutive conference championships. He is the leader of the team and
the floor general and he loves his role. Mello should be fine
returning from injury. Sitting him out due to that bum ankle for this
long was more of a precaution then anything. Nene, Chris and Kenyon
should not be underestimated as big men. Very versatile, Nene and
Kenyon can cause problems offensively and rebound the ball while
birdman is a great defensive asset off the bench. The Bugs are a very
dangerous team in the West and could easily return to the conference
finals. Mavs on a back to back will struggle. They had to fight very
hard in the 4th quarter to beat a shallow GS team. Flying from Cali to
Mile High on a back to back is excruciating for any team especially a
team who had to run with GS less then 24 hours ago. I suspect a double
digit win for the Nugs as they welcome back Mello and most of his
entourage.

I love the MIN play btw mak. Any chance you could see them winning this straight up? I think its definitely possible.
Yea man I could see Minny taking it SU. I don't like how Eddie Jordan does not plkay Maurice Speights anymore. Makes no sonse to me. It will come to bite him in the ass against teams with gurth and size like minny. Good luck KPfor3.
