WHY THE HELL WOULD PORTLAND FOUL WITH 14 SECONDS LEFT DOWN 10 WHEN THE TOTAL WAS AT 176. THEY WANTED ANOTHER POSSESSION SO THEY COULD AT LEAST PUSH IT AND THEY GOT THEIR LAST POSSESSION. OF COURSE THEY HIT A THREE POINTER. UN FUCKING BELIEVABLE. ITS AGGRAVATES ME AND I HAD ZERO DOLLARS ON IT. HOUSTON WAS RUNNING THE CLOCK OUT AND THEY FOULED FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. WHAT A JOKE THESE GUYS ARE.

Who know...but out of every professional sport...NBA is absolutely, 100% fixed. I've watched too, too many games where this shit happens and it's very frustrating when you're on teh other side. Imagine having that under? Houston was running the clock out and POrtland didn't care. ALl of the sudden they foul?????????? Then call a timeout after the foul shots? They were on the phone with the "master bookie" seeing waht they should do...it should have gone under by half a point. Absolutley unfair to you unders. UNDERS DESERVE OUR SYMPATHY!

And we all continue betting on it. I've said it many times on this forum before..I only play NBA if I'm up from NFL & NCAA football. And I would never, EVER wager more than a couple dollars on an NBA game. Basketball is not for making money...it's for entertainment.

slamdunke, its perfect if you ask me. If things are becoming a bit suspcious, make a headline scandal with Donaghy as the only ref. who fixed games and get rid of his ass. So now, of course, that clearly means its not possible for anymore ref's to fix games like Donaghy did. Humans are just naturally corrupt. You can't expect every game is not fixed. And no, I'm not saying all of them are or even this game being fixed, but just trying to express that there are indeed some fixed games. I'm stating this out of assumption and not with any proof. But that applies to both sides as well. Those who claim professional sports aren't fixed at all have no proof to back it up.

Every game is not fixed. There are for sure games fixed.. we've seen it plenty of times, and I mean Donaghy scandal just PROVES that point. Only select few know which ones. Even then, Donaghy can't shoot FOR the players. He can only control so much. Which is a lot if you are a referee, but point being sometimes maybe there is a fix supposed to take place and it doesn't work like they wish. Who knows, but that's part of gambling. Money makes the world go around we all know this ;)

WEll SAC was up by 12 with 23 seconds left and they ran the clock. And no foul, thats what should happen. Stilled blazed at f-ing Texas to foul when the game was over. That was just a coach making a fool of himself.

Its funny now though. Bettors are finally catching on. You used to be bashed on this forum if you cried fix. A person suggesting games being fixed and next thing you know they'll be 3-4 posts from those who claim your being "a baby and stupid because theres no way professional sports can be fixed".

Graphic--I think it's more than a select few...The players (if not in on it), why would they hustle to take that three at the end? And if the players (many of which are idiots, so how do they keep this stuff underneath the carpet?) are in on it, there's gotta be more out there, as there are many more important (coaches, owners, refs) controlling the games. I'm also really curious as to the percent of games that are fixed.

Everyone...the bottom line is that this game should have ended at 176. I understand you can't control if that three pointer goes in or not at the end....but POrtland had absolutely no intention of fouling down 10-13 points the final 1:30 seconds. No NBA team does. That's bushleague. All of the sudden they sink a banked jumpshot with 20 seconds left to make it 176 and the OVER is attainable!!! Coach yells FOUL!!! We now have two free throws and the ball in teh hands of a team, coming down the court against a Houston team that will play ZERO defense. Houston was basically walking off the court.

NOPNOPAC...if you took the time to read my previous posts you'd sound a lot more educated with you replies. I HAD ABSOLUTELY ZERO DOLLARS ON THAT PORTLAND GAME LAST NIGHT. Explain to me why Portland fouls all of the sudden (they hadn't played the foul game down 10-13 points with 1:30 left) with 14 seconds left when Houston was standing there running the clock out. They were down FOUR posessions at that point. College wouldn't have even fouled at this point. Fouling was the only way to throw bullshit points onto the board at that point and get the ball into the hands of Portland with 14 seconds to score a quick basket against Houston who will be basically walking off the court...ZERO DEFENSE. So NOPNOPAC...I'm not talking about that 3 pointer...you're absolutely right, and I said it earlier on one of my posts...you can't control a person making a shot. BUT...my point is that this game should have ended at 176. I 100% think that certain games are fixed as much as they can be. You can only control so much of a game...you can't control a person making his shots. That referee getting caught was proof. Something like 80% of his games were going over the total. You think is the first of his kind? Come on...think again. And remember, this is coming from somebody with no money on that game last night. If Portland didn't sink that bank shot with 25 seconds left to make it 176, I guarantee they don't foul even though it's still a 4 possession game. As soon as that was sunk, the VEGAS call came in. They didn't foul right away even...they waited for like 10 seconds to fly by...they weren't even trying. And why in the hell...after Houston sinks their 2 free throws...do they call a timeout? Because the big boys were telling them if they should make a shot or not...maybe even deciding whether to try for a 2 or 3 pointer. Who knows...fishy stuff.

There is no "Vegas Big Man" that calls some hotline to tell the NBA what to do. Vegas has such a small piece of the pie anymore, and is not run by the mob but corporations.Donaghy is looking at 20 years in Federal prison, with the scenarios I see on here, every player, coach and ref has to be in on it....if this is common practice, you think Donaghy would hesitate to roll over on everyone to save his ass?? He would have a book deal in 5 seconds. The same with retired NBA players. All it would take is one disgruntled, broke player that is out of the league to expose any big conspiracy...and there are plenty of them. But it doesn't happen. How do you buy off a team of players that are making insane money anyway?? You have guys making a million sitting on the bench...what exactly do you offer them?? I think what people overlook more when this happens, is the players and coaches have contract incentives...lots of them. Players get big bonus money for averaging so many points a game, minutes played,rebounds...etc...We don't know...maybe Aldredge needed to up the average with season winding down, and the coach wants to keep him happy. there are alot of things that may influence a game...but Mr Big from Vegas calling is not one of them. I think its more prevalant in College sports, where they are not paid, and the coaches want to keep the gambling Alumni happy. Bobby Bowden was famous for that. Cover some games for certain people...get a new football facility..etc...
