Who thinks Yanks are a steal @ -110?

Just love the -110 line on the Ynaks tonight.Burnett and the hitting power of the Yanks should come through tonight.I don't remember when the Yanks had minimal juice -10.Am I missing anything?

yep your going to the trop. tampa is a monsta at home ill be on the rays.

Dont matter who they are playing....I will take the Yanks at -110 any day of the week.

Yanks like the trop as much as the Rays do. Yanks are the play.

This is a bigger series for Tampa bay. They need to take at least 2 out of 3 to get back into this race. They have their ace going tonight(shields). tampa plays great at home! i say tampa wins this one!!!

I'm not going to say the dreaded "T" word ... but you can be sure 65%+ of people will be on the Yanks, and I doubt this line will get much higher than Nyy -110.

I def. think the Rays have a chance and won't bet too big on the Yanks.but remember playing at the Trop for the Yanks is kinda like playing at home for them or at least their second home.Half of the fans will be routing for the Yanks.3 units on yanks befor e the line goes way up today or tomorrow after the winBOL to all of us.

All the more reason to bet the Yanks. More pressure on the Rays while the Yanks are playing with a cool, calm, and collected attitude. Shields sucks against the Yanks and the Yanks are hot. And this is not even me as a homer because I rarely bet the Yanks, and I have a play on them today.

TB has been over priced by about 20cents a game this year. This game is no different.

It doesn't.

Do you believe however that some bettors are sharper than others? If you do, then it's something to pay attention to.

If you think every single bettor is equally adept, then pay it no mind.

Look at Shields vs the Yanks last year in 3 starts and look at Shields Home numbers vs Road numbers.....

Shields has 8 career starts against the Yanks.

Three were from 2006.

Think those have any bearing on tonight's game?

I don't believe in line movements and public etc. Niether "sharp" nor "others" know if A-Rod is going to hit a home run in the first, or take one in the hand and is gone for the series in the first. I'm taking the Yankees because they are hot...have the better pitcher on the mound...are better than other teams at the Trop...and have more confidence right now.
 
 And 2 starts were in 2007 against the Yanks where he was smacked around. Last season he pitched very well against the Yanks, but like you said, how will that bear on tonight's game? If you read my thread, you'll see that Jeter, Damon, Matsui and Cano all hammer Shields, while Crawford is the only hitter on the Rays team that has any success against Burnett(.333). Of the 26 RBIs against Shields, those 4 have 16 of them. And out of the 9 homers against him, those 4 have 7 of them. I'll say it again, the Yanks are the hotter, team with the better starting pitcher.

and i say that because although AJ burnett is a solid pitcher he has been giving up hits and runs latley almost just like CC... they both seem to give up some runs early but stay around and settle in for a good 6,7 or 8 inn... The best part about the Yanks tonight would be they are kind of in a slump with the bats until that late comeback over the Jays the other day...
