Cubs and Dempster own that ass. Can't believe no one is giving them a chance here. GL anyways. I'll be going with the NL on this one.

Dempster is 2-1, 1.64 in his last three starts, but Cubs are 1-4 in his last five road outings
 
Contreras is 0-3, 10.69 in his last three starts. 
 
CHW are 20-6 in their last 26 home games.

 
Cubs are 11-18 in their last 29 road games.
 
CHC are 19-7 in their last 26 games on grass.

CHC are 20-9 in their last 29 overall.

Six of last eight Cub games went over the total.

Over is 8-2-1 in CHW last 11 games as a favorite.

yes dempster is having a great year so far but i still don't believe the guy is this good i think reality sets in a big way today as the sox hammer him , contreras will redeem himself from last week's debacle , run line +165 is definately in order here.

Well, compared to like 10 runs in 4 innings his last go against the Cubs it's pretty good. You pick out his worst home numbers and post those...you conveniently leave off his good home numbers like his 3.04 ERA or his 0.99 WHIP. We get it depeche, ur a Cubs fan...

I'm a Cubs fan but I don't hammer the Cubs every day.  Yesterday was a complete pass.  Just never felt good about it or the number.  But Dempster today at +116....hell yeah, all day long.  Cubs take this one.  I'll make my money today and probably pass on the weekend games.

Are you kidding me? This s a 162 game season, and you're talking about you don't see the cubs losing 2 in a row, might be a good statement about a football team, but not any baseball team. Every tem is fully capable and will loe 2 in a row. That wouldn't be shocking.

Depeche, how fast will Ward tire out playing right field today? I heard that Fukudome is leading off and batting DH. Also, I hate the lineup with Patterson and Cedeno in it. Cedeno started the year off being patient at the plate, now he just gets up there and swings at everything. Either way, rate the lineup today

Ward in right and Fukudome DH?  That's hard to believe.  Are you serious?  If Fukudome isn't healthy enough to play a better right than Ward then he might as well sit.  Can just move DeRosa to right and Fontenot to 2nd.

loutheloanguy- no offense but ive been beat so many times this year thinking the same "they got blown out yesterday, no way they lose two in a row".. they may win but im just saying hope thats not your only reason for liking them.. specially since this is game one of a brand new series.. that point may be better if they were playing the O's at home again.. but either way goodluck with your pick

Can't see why Theriot would sit when he's had 4 consecutive multi-hit games.  I'm gonna wait to see the lineup til I bet more here.  You scared me gfinger.  I don't like your lineup at all.  Ward in RF is a disaster waiting to happen.
