The risk on the Twins +157 was supposed to be $4,000. I had an offer up at Matchbook at that price but no one was biting. The game was less than one minute from being taken down so I had to accept someone else's offer at +156. As I was putting that in, the market suddenly moved as it always does at Matchbook at the last minute. So instead of accepting someone else's offer at +156, I got it at +157 while at the same instant, my $4,000 offer of +157 was also gobbled up. So now I had $8,000 on the Twins +157 instead of just $4,000. I handed off $1,500 of it to a friend and kept $6,500. So it was an extra terrible feeling when Texas scored four in the 3rd to make it 5-0, but extra sweet in the 6th, 7th, and 8th when the Twins came to life and battered Rangers pitching for 8 runs.

It's a shame that Toronto's Ricky Romero crapped all over himself tonight because I figured that Josh Beckett would be hittable tonight. Beckett is very beatable on the road when his WHIP was less than 1.00 in his last start. His WHIP in last week's start against the Tigers was .56.
I was expecting something much better out of Romero, after getting rocked twice this year at home against Boston never getting past the 4 inning. But once again history repeats itself. I've reserved a special place in my brain that will hold the information "Boston owns Romero".

I bet on the Reds last week and they won, 7-0. On their recent road trip, I bet on them twice as huge underdogs in San Francisco and they won 10-5 over Lincecum and 5-2 over Matt Cain. I'm not mad at the Reds.

That's going to be my move, in all likelihood.
Not to sound like a sycophant but can I be your friend, Mr. Bator?

MrBator, curious as to your capping on the Reds and specifically Lincecum, been trying to figure on value situations with and against him.
Also, requested '"friend" status on your home page, would like to contact you non-gambling related. If you go back to the 2007 Superbowl you'll realize why. Thanks.
