If you keep track of LOB like MLB does, the Cubs have left 22 on base through 7 innings

smac38 - MLB tracks it as individual LOB, some people look at it that way rather than team LOB. So why are you amazed? I was pointing it out there.

Yah, it really is a stupid stat b/c you could load the based with no outs, have 2 guys K, and then have a grand slam.  In reality, all the runners are scored, but according to that stupid stat, 6 men were left on base.

The difference is cumulative (based on each batter) LOB instead of team LOB. In either case, it's terrible. Almost as bad as that meltdown that just occurred in the bottom of the 7th
