Well, the rain shortened game in Baltimore helped as it cancelled my run line bet on Minnesota and the first day of PQS resulted with me up 1.95 units! I made a couple mistakes in the first day of PQS though and it resulted in both of my losses. I have corrected those mistakes and the future looks bright. I'm going to post every game where the PQS numbers say a bet could be made but I'm not going to bet all of them.
If you're wondering what PQS is, click the link to yesterday's thread and read there. Please realize that I understand it may need to be tweaked here & there but this is an experiment & I find it fun, the main reason I gamble on sports.
2:10pm: Seattle Mariners ML (+108) for 1 unit Jarrod Washburn scored a 4 to Brian Bannister's 3. Washburn with good career numbers against the Royals too, 3.29 ERA & .255 Opposing Average stand out most. Brian Bannister has never beat the Mariners, a career 0-3 with three strikeouts compared to six walks.
3:35pm: Arizona/San Diego **NO PLAY** Dan Haren scored a 4.50 to Chris Young's 3.00 but Chris Young's .172 Opposing Average against the DBacks makes me pass.
7:05pm: New York Yankees -1 (-113) for 1 unit Andy Pettie scored 3.20 to Jeff Niemann's 1.80. Pettite is 15-4 with a 3.63 ERA against the Rays.
7:05pm: Minnesota/Baltimore **NO PLAY** Glen Perkins scored a 3.80 to Brad Bergesen's 2.33 but Perkins' career 11.74 ERA & .444 Opposing Average vs Baltimore makes this a no play.
7:10pm: Milwaukee Brewers ML (+100) for 2 units Braden Looper scores 3.40 to Micah Owings' 1.75. Looper has a 3.45 ERA & 1.07 WHIP against the Reds. Owings is 0-3 with a 7.71 ERA, 1.71 WHIP & .339 Opposing Average against the Brewers.
8:05pm: Chicago Cubs -1 (-119) for 2 units Ted Lilly scored 3.40 to Russ Ortiz' 1.67! Lilly has a career 3.25 ERA, 0.99 WHIP & .216 Opposing Average. Ortiz sports a 5.46 ERA against the Cubbies.
10:05pm: Los Angeles Angels **1 unit** Jered Weaver scored a 3.40 to Robert Ray's 1.00. This game also falls under my second career start rule. That rule states that after a good first start, you have a disastorous second start. Pinnacle is currently down for repairs so I haven't been able to get a line on them yet, I'll post the line later in the day.

I think you got the averages backwards in that M's/Royals game. Yes,Bannister is 0-3 lifetime against the M's,but those games are from 07. Bannister is holding this M's lineup to a .255 clip in 55ab's. In that span he has surrendered only 3 extra basehits,1 homer and 2 doubles. He has shutdown Ichiro,Gutierrez,Sweeney, and Griffey to a combined 3-28 with zero extra basehits.
On the other side Washburn has not faired well against the Royals. They are hitting .322 in 149ab's. What's impressive is in that span 20 of their 48 hits are for extra bases. Which include 14 doubles,2 triples, and 4 moon shots
Then why does Yahoo's profile of Washburn say .255? I use career numbers.
Or how about how Washburn is 6-1 at Kaufmann Stadium with a 2.30 ERA, 1.10 WHIP & .231 Opposing Average?
