I'd like to congratulate the Nats & Stephen Strasburg for having the best record in the majors up to date But because of that fact, the Nationals are getting their prices jacked way 2 high.
The Nationals had a day off yesterday, but before that they had one of their best wins this season (came back numerous times against Mil on Sunday) I'd consider that a very emotional win. Now they travel back to Washington with their ace on the mound Stephen Strasburg the phenom. Strasburg hasn't faired as well with Philly as he has with other teams in the majors. Strasburg went 6 innings giving up 3 ER last time he faced the Phils. I think they Phillies will able to scrap a few runs and watch their ace shut down the Nationals.
For the Phillies tonight, they are throwing Cliff Lee on the mound. He should have a lot of questions and possible trading thoughts put to rest. He should be relaxed and cruise. Lee has been pretty hot hit last few outings, major improvement from the beginning of the season. Now I know the Phils just traded Hunter Pence & Shane Victorino today, and yes I think that hurts their value to finish this season, but I don't necessarily think it hurts their value tonight. I think the bats will muster out 2-3 runs and I think that should be enough.
I'm rolling with the live DOG!
Philadelphia Phillies +140 ($100-$140)

The Phillies have only won 5 of the 17 games (29%) that Cliff Lee has started. They just lost 2 of their better bats from a lineup that already gave Lee the 5th worst run support among starters in the league.
There are better plays on the sheet than this one.

Lee got rocked in his last start, gave up 6ER on 12 hits and 4 HR
Yes your right about him getting rocked last time out, which makes 2 bad consecutive outings rare.
The 3 starts before his last outing he gave up 5 runs in 22 innings; and all 3 of those games were on the road against solid hitting teams (Dodgers, Rockies, Mets)

Yes they lost 2 of their more consistent hitters, but who's to say they don't have more good hitters? Rollins, Howard, Utley, Ruiz, Wigginton? They have enough hitters to get the job done tonight

Two consecutive bad outings rare? Last year that would be rare, but He's 1-6 with a 3.95 era this year

Don't mind the record, wins/loss is very fluke in baseball. But that 3.95 era has been steadily going south, and I expect that to continue tonight. I think he goes 7/8 innings giving up 0/1 run. I expect him to throw a gem tonight

His last start wasn't a successful one, but his 3 starts before that we're phenomenal and I think he gets back into the groove tonight and shuts down the Nats bats.
And yah I'm gladly fading the idiot public favorite.

The line is not getting cheaper... Not sure what book you use, but most opened at roughly 140 and now sit close to 150-155.
Line opened at LVH (Wash -145, now it's Wash -145)
Line opened at Sportsbook (Wash -150, now it's Wash -150)
With 85% of the public going with Washinton, wouldn't you think the books would make Washington more expensive instead of leaving the line exactly the same??? Doesn't seem right! Sounds shady to me
