Athletics F5 (+115) FG (+125) (Griffin / Doubront)

I would bet that was a pretty somber plane ride from Tampa to Boston last night and we see a little better attitude and aggressiveness from the A’s tonight. Griffin should not be a dog to Doubront and if anyone is fatigued it won’t be the plane ride that did it. The Red Sox went 0-2 in 19 innings yesterday and there is your fatigue factor right there.

Indians F5 (-114) FG (-113) (Masterson / Axelrod)

I called for a rough outing for Masterson versus the Red Sox and we got the W in that one, but the ChiSox don’t hit anything like the BoSox and it is bounce back time for Masterson.

BravesF5 (-119) FG (-115) (Minor / Francis)

The home win streak is over for the Rockies and their upcoming schedule looks a lot tougher in the near future. They have had it good so far but this is not a team that will contend and there is no better time for reality to set in than when you are winning at a 72% clip you can not sustain and your opponent is undervalued. The Braves getting swept at the Pirates just adds fuel to the fire and I’ll bet the plane ride from Pittsburgh to Denver was every bit as somber as the one from Tampa to Boston.

Rangers F5 (-103) FG (+103) (Holland / Blanton)

Yeah, I know, the Angels looked like they got their collective crap together versus the Tigers, but they didn’t see Verlander or a respectable lefty, which by the way, they have not seen in their last nine games. Holland has already bested them once this year and a game at the big A in Anaheim actually favors him more than Blanton, the home boy in this one.
