Nice play, not great, and the Sox have to be a dog to make it viable. They have the stats, and are hitting well, but their greatest advantage may be that the Giants absolutely are a disaster vs left-handed pitching, 3-8, and their run production is almost non-existent, and today they face a talented guy they have never seen before. If he gets off to a good start we have to hope management stays with him beyond "opener", but I don't think they read my posts so we'll just have to wait and see.

That’s it, today’s card sucks, especially since MLB decided to give the Yankees until September to see if they get hot enough, or the Rays get cold enough, for the Yankees to have a better probability of beating them. Any other pairing would have a double header tomorrow and get the schedule back on track.

@kurtiejoe: 20 cent lines, that is going to happen occasionally. Will lower your payout of course, but if it the best you can get....?

@richamp: Yeah, but he is still comparable to Houser and most other factors stay with the Sox. Hopefully Hudson stays in longer.

Did the Cardinals pitching matchup get mixed up due to the double header?

They're up 3-1 currently, I forget what matchup you had yesterday.

 Yeah, it changed. That was Leahy/Paddack - today is Pallante/Paddack. I probably should have taken it anyway, but decided to look for better and never kicked my brain in gear regarding this one.

Meanwhile...the Cubs down 0-2 in the top of the first.

This team is on auto fade and I don't care what anyone has to say about it.

 At this point it is hard to find a reason to not bet against SF, thought when Posey came on board they might get a few good players. No real plan in place it looks other than not to spend money, which baseball is all about money now. Any time you get a good line against them, I liked WS yesterday but just took TB for Cole pitching but he did not do what I thought.

 I was a tsb surprised that he did not give up any runs for 6 innings, one reason I liked the play was that if he did pitch well TB could still win as they been on fire. Yeh it worked out.
