Wang was given an extra day of rest and had an extra bullpen session and says he feels better and stronger. Yanks are just looking for 5 innings from him and have Hughes in the wings. Not sure how anyone can feel overly confident in Wakefield. In his last 7 starts, he has thrown 39 innings and allowed 51 hits, 29 earned runs and 19 walks. That's an ERA of  6.69 and a WHIP of 1.79. The Yanks have hit Wakefield well:

Jeter       .313, 3 HR's
ARod     .276, 7 HR's
Damon   .317,  4 HR's
Cano     .324,  3 HR's
Cabrera  .455

In the past 3 years, Wake is 2-5 against the Yanks with a 6.67 ERA. In 55 1/3 innings, he has allowed 10 HR's and 91 baserunners for a WHIP of 1.64. Looks like a good spot for the Yanks.

P.S.: Crazy as it sounds and I know noone would believe this
(I surely would not), I got in your Saturday card last weekend but missed the Sunday card since I went diving in the morning (and to boot I took the night game which won on Sunday).  Accordingly, I missed out on the bad sunday card but hit your GREAT Saturday card. I think I owe the man upstairs bigtime on that stroke of fate!!!!!

Good luck Game.

I liked the Yanks a lot myself, until I saw that Wang is on a pitch count.  The Daily News is reporting that Girardi has him on an 85-95 pitch maximum.  3 innings of that pen scares me.

Can't take the Yanks with Wang. Can't take the Sox with Wakefield vs the Yanks (0-5 7.56 home). Will just take the runs, please. Lots of them.

I'll cheer on the Yanks for ya though, GH (tough to say that, being a Mets fan).

If Liriano loses today do you think he all washed up?
 
I like the Twins again today, but don´t like the way Liriano has pitched.  Giving up way too many HR´s!  He´s throwing the wrong pitch at the wrong time...BUT is today the day that he gets back on track?
Any info. would be great

The Pirates have been right there in the first two games of this series and could've won either game and now have a motivated pitcher coming up from the minirs wher ehe was virutally been unhittable; he has some experience and he is facing a pitcher coming in off his two worst performances of the season. This line is so far off in my opinion, it warrants 1.75 units.

newbie here and first time post
I have been watching the posts here for a while now.this a
great site so far as i can tell at this point.have gotten lots of
advice just by reading the threads.
i actually found out about this site through a TV sports show
and one of the covers guys was on it.
 
have followed gamehunter since i started here.wanted to congratulate you on your radio gig.good luck with that.
 
I hope I can learn more from you guys in the days and weeks
