I feel like a total idiot and I'm sure this is something most of you guys wouldn't do..
I'm sure a lot of us place our wagers through a local book. If we lose, we see "The Man" or "Bookie" on like a Tuesday, but if we win, we see him on like a Wednesday or whatever. Well I've never had a major issue with a bookie before.. until I trusted a buddie of mine with the account info.. Dude lost $5k last week and haven't heard from him ever since. Tried explaining that to the book to buy extra time but he could care less.. Learn from me people and never ever trust a friend with your sports account!
I figured I'd throw this out there, maybe my story could prevent someone from making the same mistake I did..

deff beta his ass. if you know him well enough to give him your account info you should know his phone number and address. i saw you make a visit and if he breaks bread dont break his leg. if he doesnt give you your money though, well just break a finger for every grand he lost (his medical bills should come close to what you payed)

Estes, dude we all have shitty nights, you are very consistent that if you have a shitty night, all the nights you were consistently winning makes up for it. Good luck and get them tomorrow.

Man some of these replies are so childish.. Why would I BS about this for? I trusted a really good friend and it goes to show u how u can't trust NO ONE. I just wanted to share this story to give some people a heads up..
I know where he lives but dude hasn't been at his house the past week. I've waited for him outside his house a whole day and he hasn't been there. Beating his ass will definitely not get me my money back..
For those with the smart comments and lame replies, I hope some similar shit won't ever happen to you guys..

My "bookie" took me for 4 Gs last month. Had us up almost 8Gs for the month and haven't heard from him since I told him I wanted to cash out. Metro is looking into it because I found out the guy didn't have a NV business license. It is nice to have cops as friends. We have his name and address so I might go rough him up if he ever goes home again. DON'T TRUST ANYONE THESE DAYS!!!

i agree with you. one time i let one of my very good friends play on my poker account a few years back when i first started gambling. he said let me play for a little bit i only wanna play for like 50 bucks if i lose ill give u the cash. he was a good friend and we had played in house games for like 50 bucks before so whatever i didnt think it was a big deal. i go downstairs and watch tv for a little while and when i come back upstairs and ask how its going hes like terrible lol. im like what? i check my account and he had blown about a thousand dollars. left me with $130 in my account. and at this point in my life this was all the money i had besides a couple hundred in the bank. i had dropped out of school and put my last 500 bucks online hoping i could win at cards and he almost cleaned me out. luckily i ended up turning that 130 back into a thousand and never looked back. but point of the story is never let a friend use your account. dont ever give them access to a line of credit that you cant control. He ended up paying me back but it took him about a year. I guess that means he is a good friend, cause i have known people over the years who have tossed some of their best friends to the side because they owe them money. hope you get your money back though u might have to put him on a program. im sure he feels like shit but some people jsut have no control especially when they go on tilt.

Money always comes before Friendships. Its the ruler of all evil. Always someone scheming something for it. When a buddy wants to bet tell him to get his own account, don't ever let anyone have your information. Its okay to tell someone to fuck off your not betting on my account. Its better to have people's information than to give out your information.

What if your friend didn´n that? After all sportbooks are illegal in california and these guys like easy money, maybe that bookie is lying to you. HOPE YOU CAN RECOVERY SOON.
