Looks like I wont be going to the World Series. The lowest price I saw on ebay is $695. Upper deck seats I would assume...I didn't even bother looking.
Didn't you even bother pulling tickets this morning when they went onsale to the public? I was able to get some myself, for resale of course.

This argument is so overplayed. When the Yankees are good, it's good for baseball. The whole good vs evil thing. As a Phillies fan, I would much rather play the Yanks than the Angels. Not because I think the Angels are better, but because it would be a heated series with two passionate sports cities.
But, they really need to lower their prices. The Yankees have yet to sell out a playoff game which is sad. It's embarrassing when you watch a playoff game in Yankees stadium and see all kinds of empty seats behind home plate. Citizens Bank would sell out for a 3 am game on Christmas eve.

Yankees have had a high payroll for awhile. That doesnt win the titles. Last few years they were constantly bashed for sucking. Small market teams have won and proven that. Give me a break. Hey nfl fans you may have to deal with a noncapped nfl soon anyways. Honestly every sport should be that way. If your owners are willing to put it back into the team as opposed to pocket it, then why punish them.

So you don't see the clearly better team winning? I don't see an upset this season?
Well that is your opnion.I would and most people here would think a philly loss to the Yankees as an upset. But because the Yanks are so over-hyped thats a media thing. Now as far as on the field with the exception of 3rd base and maybe catcher I will take the phillies .Closer I give you too.but as I have said numerous times Sabathia will come here and get rattled and scared and the rest of their pitching is no better than ours.Phils in 5.

Coming from a Mutts fan, I can't hate on the Yanks..They do a excellent job of spending their money in the right places..Just look at this year..Swisher, Texiera, CC, Burnett..All great acquisitions

P Jaret Wright to a 20 million dollar deal
Jason Giambi to a $120 million deal
Contreras to a $30 million deal
Kei Igawa $50 million????????? Something like 20 million just to talk with him
Carl Pavano 40 million??????

and for the record, before you spout some inane BS blinders and me, I am not saying the Phils can't beat the Yanks (although I don't think they will)....what I am saying is for you to believe and state that you and "most people would think a philly loss to the Yankees as (sic) an upset"....is

But the Twins have also always been a low-revenue team, meaning they
have difficulty retaining their best players because they can’t or
won’t pay competitive salaries.
Contrary to a widespread view, the Twins did not let Hunter simply walk away.
In this instance it wasn’t the money that prevented the Twins from
retaining Hunter. They made a decision that at his age, 32, they didn’t
want to give him more than three years. With greater revenue, the
Angels can more easily afford to commit to more years and squander some
of the money if Hunter’s performance should fall off drastically during
the contract.
The Twins have also made a solid offer to Santana — a four-year
extension for $80 million on top of his $13.25 million salary for 2008.
The Twins have not offered more than four years, because they do not believe in such extended contracts for pitchers.
