I think during spring training everyone should start a thread about their team and just talk about them give updates on how they are progressing through spring training, any injuries etc.

i'll see what i can do, count me in.
it might consist of me cutting and pasting (from my regular threads) until i get a better handle on what you guys are looking for.

I will take the last NL Central team left, the Stros. I doubt Gamehunter will every miss a day but if he does i would be more than happy to do it for the Cubs since i watch every game of theirs. This is a great idea and am looking forward to it

fwiw . . . i think we should all post our unit record,  i doubt anyone can track how everyone does . . . for instance, i sucked last season on mariners, but was pretty solid in 2007.  it was clear that i didn't have a good handle on the mariners (from a handicapping perspective) last season.  that doesn't mean my info sucks, it just means that i'm not doing a good job of identifying proper value. 
 
i'm not suggesting we do that for fade material, if anything, others may point out some errors i'm making when determining value, and perhaps help me see the forest through the trees when i'm not able.
 
some of us vary our investments, some don't, that's the way it is, but tracking units is useless if some of us start using "matrixx" dollars.

what our records have been means shit in the grand scheme of this.  Everyone will be posting info about the team they've chosen, the point isnt to sell you on why you should be betting them, the point is to provide as much additional info as needed for the better that doesnt have 10 hours a day to read about every team in the league.  This is basically 30 people, each reporting on their team and their chances.

Evryone has the right to decide what info to believe, what info to bet with, what info to bet against, if you tell everyone "i think the mariners are  solid play tonight" - doesn't mean it's an official play or that anyone else will bet!!

here's my point . . . it's very possible to provide good info on a team, and possible (at the same time) to provide inadequate info about the same team regarding value.  and at the end the day, anyone who is serious on this web site is only concerned with value.  thus, i want people to know if i'm providing value or info, and i want to know what others are providing.  wiriteups are great, but we all know that any one can write a supporting position on any team in any sport. 
 
all of us that follow a team on an annual basis, know that some times we have it dialed in, and sometimes we're on the outside looking in regarding value,  that's takes nothing away from the information we provide for others to make theirn own decisions but it does demonstrate our ability to determine value, and that is by far the most most important attribute of a successful mlb handicapper.
