I am glad to hear you are a part of the #FREEBELT movement, it is obvious Belt needs to be starting but Giants management has always stuck with the crusty vet (especially when they overpaid him after the world series win in 2010 so he is currently making $10 million a year). In their eyes they have already made the mistake so you might as well throw Huff out there and HOPE (key word HOPEEE) that he gives you anywhere near the production that they are paying for. Unfortunately we all know that is not going to happen (who knows maybe he throws together a good stretch during the season, but I along with many other giants fans would rather just let Belt START and get the playing time he needs to progress to become part of the future for when we get rid of Huff next year).

Belt is very inconsistent. So is Crawford. I like burriss tho. Speedy, good defense, and can get on base. A lot of options on that Guy. Brings a lot to the table

Clearly pitched around Wright. He desperately wants a no score for the Mets in the first. Wright is the only threat.

but what else can you do with him, he has already destroy AA/AAA ball so sending him down isn't an option. if he has holes he will need to fix them @ the MLB level else he will never have a chance to develop into a MLB player. if he busts then so be it but you need to give him a chance.

He destroyed every pitch in spring training too. Belt just needs consistent playing time to be good, but Bruce Is an idiot and plays him sparingly.

I think belt will continue to get much bigger. I'm hoping he puts on some more muscle/weight and get more confidence. But yes huff is done and they have to continue to play him but I think it works so belt can get his feet wet before diving in. I expect a very improved yearfrom him next season.
