Well from what Ive read above his girlfriend bought the tickets to the game and he sells cellphones for a living. He had the opportunity to set his parents up nicely, maybe pay off all of their debts and to be able to set up his own life as well. Maybe go back to school and study something so he can live a more productive life. You are very correct in saying he is a fan but he showed the characteristics of a child (in his selfish thinking) at the same time.
I call him selfish because A MAN would think about others that he cares for and do whats needed to provide for his family. This kid did neither....so its very strange to see. Im inclined to believe he already comes from some type of money and he does not have to worry about such things.
But if he doesnt...can you imagine how his parents feel right now? Maybe they worked hard jobs providing for him and he now works a bullshit job. He had the opportunity of a LIFETIME for an ordinary joe. And him being a fan circumvented what was best for his future.
