Fellas, next time you get to watch Yankees play on National TV, pay attention to every Derek Jeter at bat CLOSELY then you will know why i make my statements. Even when its a ball, he keeps doing the annoying leaning in thing every single damn time. Yeah watch him work the count with foul balls.
Then watch him ground out to ss or 3rd basemen. His strikeout is annoying as well. Usually its him caught looking and him doing that lean again after the pitch.

Derek is okay but is way overpumped. Look fellas. Say your in the bottom of the 9th down by 1 with bases loaded and 2 outs. Which Yankee would you want to bat for you?
Jeter may haven been clutch with that defensive play in Oakland but as a hitter, when has his HITS MATTERED?
Wow this thread is funny as a lot of that rambling up there was kind of stupid........I hate Derek jeter.....But to say that you would rather have any of those guys at the plate instead of Jeter is stupid. With that type of situation Jeter woudl scare me the most. He is always making contact or getting the big hit to break the other teams back. He may be getting Overpaid but most of the guys in the Major Leagues are getting overpaid. That is not Jeter's fault that he gets paid 20 Mil, it is the dumb ass owner that overpays all of his players.

I shouldnt even entertain this post, but this is flat out rediculous. The guy is on pace to have more career hits than Pete Rose, assuming he plays to the age at which Pete Rose retired, and stays healthy. He must suck!

This post was long last year. I reupped it b/c i had time to watch Yankees game yesterday on tv where he went 0-5. Today he went 1-4 with 1 SINGLE.
He is a contact hitter. However, why do you think he has over 200 hits every year? MAYBE ITS B/C HIS TEAM BATS AROUND SO MANY TIMES which gives him more opportunites.
The funniest thing i hear is this. Jeter has the most postseason hits of any hitter in MLB history. Well, when you go to play the postseason almost every year for the last 11-12 years, do you know how many AB's your going to get? Imagine if Babe Ruth, Barry Bonds or Ichiro played this many postseason games.
His postseason stats are worst than his regular season stats. And when was the last time he hit 25 hrs in one year or hit 100 RBIs? Never.
