According to the New York Yankees (player contracts are made public), he made 21.6 this year. Maybe you should call stienbrenner and tell him he gave jeter about 3 million too much.

Jeter's career post-season numbers:
AB's-- 495
AVG-- 309
HR-- 17
RBI 49
OBP 377
R's -- 85
BB's -- 51
K's 96.

Decent numbers but certainly not great by any means. RBI total is very low--would project to low 60's for a full season. Sometimes you get a reputation early in your careet and it stays with you. How many more series do they have to lose for him to continually be labeled a winner???

lol.  I never said Tom Brady is overrated.  Now that would be insane.   Brady is the 1st or 2nd best QB in the league either him or Peyton Manning.

The thing is Jeter has not shown up the last few years.  Look at those numbers the last poster listed.  HIs projected rbi's for a full season would be low 60s.  Even if he hit 3rd or 4th, YOU KNOW he cannot have 100RBIs in a year.

When you add the 1 mill. he got for the bonus money that was paid out from 2001-2008 you can see he clearly made 21 mil this season not 18. I'm not going to argue the point anymore, I'll just say this, you had incorrect facts and you tried to trash another guy for having correct facts. Every site on the net has Jeter at 21 million this season, but some guy on an anonymous betting website has the "actual inside info"? Get real.

Derek Jeter with the bases loaded with 2 outs and the Yankee faithfuls go lets go Jeter LOL.  I admit Jeter can work the count but all i see is him caught looking for strike 3 or swinging at a bad pitch.

So called captain of this team.  He is way overrated and overpaid.  Defense is only good thing about him.

I have to say though, even as a Yankee hater, I know Derek Jeter is a great player. Not to mention 4 WS rings, I believe.

Derek is okay but is way overpumped.  Look fellas.  Say your in the bottom of the 9th down by 1 with bases loaded and 2 outs.  Which Yankee would you want to bat for you?

For me, it would be

1. A-Rod
2. Cano
3. Matsui
4. Giambi
5. Damon
6. Jeter

Jeter may haven been clutch with that defensive play in Oakland but as a hitter, when has his HITS MATTERED?

i dont agree with Arod getting paid as much as he does either, i dont feel any player should get more then the entire marlins team or some other teams out there........ totally rediculous.. but thats another story

he actually isnt that good defensively..his range isnt great..he does make some plays look pretty etc, but statistically he isnt that great.
 
he is a great hitter. Everyone strikes out with the bases loaded or grounds out. why are you such a hater. Yes, I do agree he is a little over loved, but come on, the guy plays the game the way it should be and is a great player...get over it.
