you can not compare crack to steriods by no means... who gives a shit about a crack head as they are both to blame... steroids is a bigger matter, he is a national figure that KIDS look up to and want to be... steriods is cheating a nation game that has been played for decades to inhance stamina and give an advantage.... while both are to blame i feel the player is more the blame, Money in this country is power, professional athelets are making millions of dollars while trainers are making a years salary in 3 innings of a professional players game.... you think if you were put in McNamees shoes, and Clemens asked you to acquire steriods to inject him, and for that he would pay you a large sum of money (considered a large sum to the trainer who makes nothing close to a pro, and to the pro its only pocket change and in return he profits off his performance) that you would say no and risk losing your job???? be serious when you answer this question... while you may have stronger morals then someone else, when you see that amount of money put in front of you im sure you will take it.... and by doing so the trainer knows he is at fault but so is the player, so to save his ass he keeps the evidence (esp when steroids was starting to become a talk around the league) for a case as of right now... i am not saying Clemens is guilty, we will see what happens, but as a baseball player myself i know whats in the game and i know athetels will do what ever they can to gain an edge in the game so they do not lose a spot.... Clemens even said today he would do anything to gain that edge on the mound? do you think it would involve roids ? and how many pitchers do you see at his age that can take that much time off and then come back to compete? Maddux, Glavin, they are no where near Rogers size, and do not throw nearly as hard, they are finess pitchers
I agree with you and the answer is yes I would do whatever the player wants but that is not the point I am a greedy bastard I am not defending Clemens. The thing that pisses me off is this former cop is a RAT drug dealer just looking out for himself and doing whatever to get out of his troubles.Steroids just came into the limelight over the past couple years this guy claims to have evidence from years before that is bullshit. This in my opinion is just a waste of everyones time its a modern day witch hunt.

probably should be congress and mitchell for allowing hearsay to be published as fact destroying repuations of a lot of ballplayers for what may be nothing more than an innocent conversation
obviously some are guilty...but when all your info somes from a mets clubhouse guy and a trainer for the yankees your data will be skewed.
oh...mitchell happens to sit on the BoD of the red sox...how convenient
As a Red Sox fan I agree 100%, it is bullshit that not 1 RED SOX was named. Especially MANNY RAMIREZ. If you look how small Manny was last season to the season before. You can tell he stopped taking something.

Wake up people, there is nothing more to prove Roger Clemens is GUILTY as SIN. All he had to do was acknowledge his mistake and move on but didn't. Macnamee, may not be the best witness but what the hell does have to hide at this stage.

This whole thing is bs. The mitchell report is a joke. They based their findings on eye witness testimony from mcnamee. The guy has lied and been caught his entire career. A former police officer who sold and injected hgh and steroids into his clients. Whether or not clemens is guilty, there is no way a jury will find mcnamee to be a credible enough witness.

Virgina Foxx is wearing my old couch as a sports jacket
She's also the only one who made any sense of this BS.....I wish she was my congresswoman.....She's the only one that called BS on this whole hearing and couldn't believe that our government was wasting money on this. Our country is just beginning to experience the world of shit that is yet to come.

And you're a homer. Did you actually LISTEN to what he said? I'm not saying Macnamee is telling the whole truth and Clemens is lying, but do you really think that Macnamee is the only one lying here and Clemens is telling the complete truth? You must have had your Yankees jersey stuffed in your ears when the hearing was going on today.

Pettitte, who was excused from testifying, said in a statement to the
committee that Clemens admitted to him as long as 10 years ago that he used HGH.
Waxman read from affidavits by Pettitte and Pettitte's wife, Laura, supporting
the accusations.
"Andy Pettitte is my friend. He was my friend before this. He will be my
friend after this and again. I think Andy has misheard," Clemens said. "I
think he misremembers."
Pettitte said in the affidavit that he asked Clemens in 2005 what he would
do if asked about performance-enhancing substances. Pettitte said Clemens
responded by saying Pettitte misunderstood the previous exchange in 1999 or 2000
and that, in fact, Clemens had been talking about HGH use by his wife in the
original conversation.

This whole thing is stupid and a waste of time and money,Really so what if guys used steroids are they a menace to society?Do we need to worry about one of them getting behind the wheel of a car and driving under the influence of HGH and killing people?or is one of them going to kill someone to get there next fix of Winstrol? Why doesn't congress focus there time and money on ridding the streets of real drug dealers you know the ones selling crack heroin, ice.Even alcohol abuse and drunk driving is causing a lot more problems than steroid abuse. It's a crying shame where our tax $ are going to,funding this circus

Yeah Roger is Guilty, and who cares if Mac looks bad, what looks so bad, maybe wrong about the party, but Canseco has admitted that he had a conversation with Roger about roids just not that day. It's amazing Roger can remember he only got 3 B-12 shots, and he was golfing on the day of the party, but can't remember a conversation about illegal drugs with a friend. that's odd. Tell me Mac is a lier, when someone steps out of the Mitchell report and denies that they have taken HGH. Who cares if he can't remember exactly how many times he injected Roger. As long as he remembers injecting him. And how about Rogers phone Convo with him? Why did they grill Mac on what he didnt say on the phone, Roger is the one who shoulda been leadng the conversation by saying why did you say you injected me?
