whats the point you can get buehrle -108 (even money earlier today)?

i was thinking the same thing, why is buehrle so cheap vs kcity, when kc's bats arnt anything special....  looks to easy so im probably laying off, or small play on chisox...  he has not been nothing even close to a gas can------->in-accurate info  FROM  REDWINGSSUCK       gluck vasko

He is 19-8 with a 3.48 ERA lifetime against the Royals.

Royals are a poor hitting team, worse against lefties, and even worse against a good lefty like Buehrle.  Meanwhile, the Sox bats are hot and Meche has been the gas can recently.  Don't shy off the line this is a game to pound.

I agree the Royals suck and can't hit a beach ball some days but what you said is completely absurd.  The Royals lineup has somewhere around a 1.000 OPS career off Buerhle

 

Anyone want to crunch the numbers and see exactly what it is?

far from it as i've been betting baseball for years...but dont say the guys prone to being a gas can cause this year he's far from that, and like you said who cares about last year but yet your using last years games in telling us he's a gas can,  i didnt say im on chisox, i just said buehrle's been solid this year ytd.....  the most runs allowed i think was 4 or 5 but many starts he let up under 3 runs...

Though everything you say is somewhat true, i believe the opening line, action, and movement suggests a k.c. play.  Meche generally pitches well against the sox, he's been already his last couple outings, and  Bloom, guillen,   and Teahan got decent numbers against buehle--well teahan has GREAT numbers. good luck.

I never said who cares about last year man.  I said who cares about numbers from 2000-2006 when not 1 member of the Royals was even on the team   That can't be that hard to figure out...Buerhle struggles against the players currently in the KC lineup and considering the sample size of at bats I think it's fairly significant data.   Buehrle has been solid this year yes but he has stretches where he can't get people out, kind of like Andy Pettite.  He's not an ace by any stretch

all this talk about Buehrle, yet no mention of the White Sox lineup. These guys are (as a unit) all swinging the sticks really well. My number one rule in betting baseball is NEVER fade a hot lineup- it doesn't matter who the opposing pitcher is. Hitting is contagious and this team is hitting. It's either Chicago or a no play... you guys on KC are absolutely crazy. Their lineup is moving in the other direction... nobody's hitting and they're struggling badly to score runs. If you've been betting baseball long enough than you know lineups and teams in general can be very streaky....you have to strike when the iron is hot and lay off when it's not

It's hot hot hot today in KC.
 
Meche loves the heat.  Buerhle loves his home city of Chicago where it's cold, miserable and windy.  Last couple games in this kind of heat he hasn't made it past the 4th.
 
I agree the offense situation favours Chisox, but I think the line and weather suggest a KC win.

White Sox tonight. KC line up hits pretty well against Buerhle, however Sox are heating up after being swepted by the Jays and KC is heading in the other direction. Plus some stupid website sent me 12 free picks and lost 11 of them. They are picking KC tonight and I am going against them.
