It's a long season and you're in it for the long haul. At the end of the day, your bankroll will be healthier if you lay off these parlays. I'd rather be even for the day than be in the red b/c my parlay didn't hit. I learned this the hard way, and I still go for the parlays when I'm in a pinch, but that's just bad money management (and my degenerative nature).
well said. also chasing and going large on a play that you fall in love with...like i did yesterday with the braves.
i know better and deserved the loss.

And red Flag Capper I don't suspect this to be a letdown game. This is game one of the annual Banjo Bowl which these teams have circled on the sked the moment it comes out. I think the line is tight due to it being a rivalry game and SASK having a new coach. That said I don't care if they have Lombardi,Madden and Shula on the sidelines the guys between the lines are the same and they're in for a shitkicking
The line just looks funny. A 7-1 team vs. a 1-7 team and they are giving you -3 Winnipeg at plus money? The bet just looks too good. The crowd will be a major factor. Don't forget that it's a home and home series so next week it will be in Winnipeg. I just don't see it as easy a pick as some people think. It will be a battle either way and I personally see this one as a close game.

For some reason this Atlanta bet seems like a chase bet. I just can't make myself believe that there isn't a better bet out there. I hope you get it though.

Nothing is a given they have to play the game but I agree I just want to stay away from the ole double reverse jedi mind fuck trap line nonsense and just bet where I see the value. That said I 100% agree the line does seem fishy but it's not taking me off this play. And yep I know it's a home and home they plays this "Banjo Bowl" every year. It's usually a great game but the road team has done well over the last few seasons in this matchup.
And out of curiosity are you making a play either way or just watching or tracking. Either way thanx for the thoughts and BOL

I still haven't decided whether to put a play on the game yet but if I do, I won't be putting it on Winnipeg (at least this week). Just don't like the line and too much factors in play here.
I expect the Roughriders will be ready for this one. Losing to Toronto last week has got to be the lowest point of their season and as expected they fired their coach. With Ken Miller coming back, I think they will be extra pumped up for this one. Not to mention that they have not won a game yet at home, this is the perfect week to do so. Not sure how much this is worth but don't think that this is not an important game for them with BC winning. I see this game as essentially the Roughriders season. If they lose this game, they will be 1-8 and will have to win the rest of their games just to get to 10-8 on the season. 1-8 and 2-7 in this league is a big difference. At 2-7, they still have a chance. Keep in mind that BC and Hamilton only have 3 and 4 wins themselves so they have a chance if they win this one.
Yes, they are bad but I just see people not capping this properly and just blindly jumping on a 7-1 team and great odds. When you look into it more deeply you will see how important this game will be to Saskatchewan. The fact that it is a "Banjo Bowl" and with Ken Miller back, there is also that extra motivational factor. Winnipeg can't win them all and you know what the odds makers are thinking when they set the ML at this price.
Something to think about but either way, I expect a good fight.

Some good stuff in therre and like I said the game needs to be played and the line is tight for a reason. And for people jumping on it blindly well I can't talk for other people but I can say I do my homework and trust my capping especially for this sport and have a pretty solid 13-1 record L14 for sides/pointspreads all documented on wagerline so I prefer to go with my gut than try to get into head games with the line makers.
Also motivation can be a power force and help a team focus but it ca turn into overwhelming pressure to win which can make it go from an asset to an enemy in a heartbeat. It's one thing to have a monkey on your back and another to have an 800 LB Gorilla. The players saw staff getting punted out of town a few weeks ago and know they are next if things don't turn around soon. Whether they use that to vault themselves into the winners circle or crumble under the pressure is still yet to be seen.
And with all due respect the fact that you have yet to play SASK shows me some second guessing. Right now it's kinda nothing to lose. If SASK wins great call but if they lose no harm no foul.
I will be playing this game for multiple units but I also think this could be a tight game and I'm not being over confident and moving the line up to WIN-10 +700 or anything crazy but at -3 I'm in for sure. Even if SASK play great and takes it to the wire or even o.t I'll go with the team thats proven all year they know how to win at home or on the road. Plus the road team is a healthy 8-2 L10 H2H meetings.
Either way BOL and let me know if/what you pulled the trigger on if you decide to play. Enjoy the game and we'll discuss post game in about 12 hours or so.
And hey nice talking to someone about CFL who has some passion and knowledge of the game. Good talk & GL

And hey the lines moving in your favour. I'm just locking in now so I don't get to sloppy tonight and miss it tomorrow and just saw -2.5
Heres what I just texted in for the game
CFL(1)WIN FH -1 (2)WIN FH -1 to the U 24.5 +260 (3)WIN -2.5 X 3 UNITS
Locked and loaded
Roughriders 20-7 with 5mins to go
I'm not here to rub it in but the reason that I had not yet played SASK is because I wait until the last minute to put my plays in to see how the line moves. I don't see many people playing the CFL so waiting and observing the line for last minute bets coming in helps me. I'm 27-17 on the year but I don't post my plays in the CFL forum. I just don't find any useful information in that forum.
We should pool out thoughts together in future weeks. Looks like you have good knowledge of the game as well. I'll look for your input for the rest of the weeks ahead.
