Hey BODS I do like BC and the O tonight but I have to go with WIN-3 for my P.O.D. Yes this is a rivalry game and the first of a Labour Day Classic home and home series these teams play every year. And yes SASK has a new coach which should provide some motivation but NO way in hell SASK go from a complete gong show to world beaters in a few weeks of film and practice. WIN has by far the best D in the league and a top RB which in football usually leads to success on just about any level IMHO.

The line does worry me a bit so I'm not going nuts on this but WIN's only loss this year was by a single point against a great CAL team and that was a 21-20 loss that took an 11-0 4th Q for CAL after the WIN q.b was injured. Even that turned out to have a silver lining when the often injured pivot was once again knocked out of the game a few weeks later and the backup who gained valuable experience in a tight game against CAL came into the game and this time drove his team on a 60 yard drive for a major and finished the game leading them to victory.

The players play the game not the records but these teams are 7-1 & 1-7 for a reason.......make than many reasons.

And red Flag Capper I don't suspect this to be a letdown game. This is game one of the annual Banjo Bowl which these teams have circled on the sked the moment it comes out. I think the line is tight due to it being a rivalry game and SASK having a new coach. That said I don't care if they have Lombardi,Madden and Shula on the sidelines the guys between the lines are the same and they're in for a shitkicking

BODS I really like MIL today and this is what I came up with. If you get a sec to read it over please LMKNow you thoughts...

Anyone else thinking the Brew Crew at -135 is a steal ?? They are by far the better team and even with all the talk this year about their road record they are 32-38 away from MIL while the Stros are just 26-43 at Minute Maid Park. Also the Brew Crew have been better of late on the road winning 11 of their L14. The season series has been dominated by MIL as well taking 11 of 13 H2H with HOU.

As far as starters Narveson goes for MIL and his L3 have been decent with 17.1 IP, a 1.15 whip and 3.63 era. Bud Norris has gone 17 IP with a 1.35 era and 4.76 era in his L3. This year vs the Brewers Norris is 1-1 with a 4.26 ERA against the Brewers with both games played in Houston. In Chris Narvesons first game after coming off the 15-day DL due to a lacerated left thumb he tossed 5 1/3 shutout innings and drove in two runs before exiting with a torn nail on his left middle finger in an 8-1 win over Pittsburgh. He walked one in one inning of relief during Wednesday's 8-3 loss to St. Louis, and is 3-0 with a 2.67 ERA in his last six appearances.

Just curious, if you only bet two sides in baseball in an evening (paying juice on both) why not parlay them and take a higher potential payout? I take it you don't bet to break even or lose small so the only positive result for the evening would be if both teams win.

There is probably a flaw in my thinking but would appreciate your thoughts so that I can understand things a bit better. 

 

 

 

It's a long season and you're in it for the long haul.  At the end of the day, your bankroll will be healthier if you lay off these parlays.  I'd rather be even for the day than be in the red b/c my parlay didn't hit.  I learned this the hard way, and I still go for the parlays when I'm in a pinch, but that's just bad money management (and my degenerative nature).
