but a ball really far, how pathetic
When you have a bad day it’s a terrible sport and when you win it’s a wonderful sport right ? I have been there but it’s not the sport it’s how you are reacting to a loss or losses. Gambling is not easy and it’s an addiction for most. When your in the grips of addiction people get emotional because they probably lost what they could not afford to lose or chased and lost even more. Gambling takes serious discipline and money management, betting even and only betting 5% of your bankroll. Don’t chase , accept losing days , take days off and follow what teams are doing , gather information and when the moment seems right only than make a wager or two. Greed is a big factor for losing money and it’s easy to lose focus because of it. Learn from painful bad decisions such as betting too much or betting too many games as well as betting for the sake of gambling because you”re in the throes of addiction and don’t realize it. Practice patience and learn the power of being calm, be proactive not reactive . Also you may want to consider not gambling at all if you can’t apply the disciplines of which I state because most people can’t. There is no shame in being smart enough to know gambling might be a serious waste of time and money after all Vegas wasn’t built on winners. Just some food for thought my friend. Be well

Lmao I rarely gamble/watch baseball, because it's such a boring sport... gambling would be the only way to make that miserable sport more interesting... nfl, nba and tennis all take more skill than baseball and this comes from someone who played baseball, because my dad wanted me to for the better part of my childhood. It's almost as boring to play baseball as it is to watch it... stand out in the outfield for 10 minutes on the off chance the dude actually hits it to you, then get a good 5 seconds of exercise before going back to the bench to sit on your ass for another ten minutes... poker players probably have higher heart rates than those athletic baseball players hahahaha... then people try to call it a smart man's game and it's usually some lazy looking fat slob saying it haha... I just think to myself, you call it a smart man's game, because it's one of the only sports you can compete at and you think you're smart... the only reason baseball is so popular, is because you only need a stick and a ball to play. Like soccer you just need a ball. Anything where the equipment costs a decent amount of money, it's not as popular of a sport since not everyone can afford to grow up playing it...

And yes I'm very aware I posted this in an mlb forum full of mlb fans and my response would look insane to damn near all of you reading it... but the fact of the matter is that baseball is and will always be a sport for lazy people who think they're smart...

Baseball was not designed for people like yourself who have a short attention span, ADHD. Most people don't and millions enjoy playing and watching, myself included. You ought to luv ping pong, it's non-stop action, perfect for those with ADHD, seriously, not being sarcastic.

Baseball is not design for no kind of people in special , is not about adhd , seems pretty ofensive coming from you . Anyone can have its opinion of baseball as each has its own perception of it , i personally dont like it nor watch it or play it and it doesnt mean i have ADHD as the fact that you like it dont make you a smart one . Be respectful mrusso and respect everyone else opinion without taking it personal .
And nobody design baseball , it was just a guy with a stick and a ball whom occurs to hit it , the rest turns in a statistics matter due to the boring it becomes .

If you don't like it that's fine, respect those that do and don't come into a baseball forum bashing it. Word.

I am sure you could play baseball on a MLB level

And I never thought of baseball and being smart as one in the same. Now boxing, you can fight for 30 seconds and lose and still get paid. That seems smart to me

Imo making contact with a round object coming at you 95mph plus with a round object and then making sure that object is kept in " fair " play all while trying to decipher if it's a fastball slider curveball change up or a strike or ball all in the blink of an eye is the hardest thing to do in any sport. To each their own though.

You are exactly correct. Many of us on here love Baseball. I've watched and played it most of my life. Great sport. Like anything else it's not for every one. Everything these days needs to be fast and over quickly. Relax and calm down and watch a great sport!!!

ADHD was a metaphor asswipe, you do know what that is. I love baseball you want tell me how bad it is, I'm going to stick up for it. You tell me my sister's ugly, I'm going to stick up for her. Bash the country I served and love, we can take out it in the parking lot. That's what men do. Got it! So STFU and go on down the road with your opinion asshole, seriously. You're just trying to start a fight I assure you, you won't win.

@tjtorok07
I have to respectfully agree to disagree.
baseball IS the most boring to watch, and I laugh when they need “rest days,” after throwing 1.2 innings of relief, or, batting 3 times in a game, BUT, as for skill, it’s the toughest sport to play.
Absolitely least physically demanding, but, most skill required. Connecting a bay to a ball being thrown 105 mph from 60’ away with the possibility it’s going to tail, sink, rise, curve, etc is way harder than making contact with a 350 pound human in front of you, slamming a basketball, or taking a slap shot.
just my opinion. I played through college, and was never able to WATCH a game, still cannot, bc it’s like watching paint dry on a wall

I digress. Lol. The NFL by far has the dumbest players. How many times have you heard of NFL players not knowing about ties years ago and currently. I could count on my hands and toes how many times players thought there were no ties! Now that’s really really sad. You don’t even know the rules to the game your a professional player in. The sad part they weren’t even rookies! Lmao! ????

I would say baseball has had some of the smartest players tbh. To be an excellent pitcher you need to know math. Look at Greg Maddux the Wizard! Wasn’t overpowering but one of the greatest pitchers ever to play the game. You need to understand angles, spin rate, velocity, arm angles, etc. Have a conversation about baseball with that man and you’ll think your the dumb one.
