Gonsolin hasn't proven he can go 5 to 6 innings yet, albeit his best outing vs the crappy Cubs.
They seem to be looking at a lot of bullpen days moving forward. Much depending on Kershaw's injury.
The Padres and Giants aren't stepping stones this year. But if you look at the Dodgers schedule they are the only 2 teams who are challenging, minus 2 games vs the Stros and 3 games vs the Brewers to end the year. They have a bunch left vs AZ and Colorado, play the Cards, Reds, Pirates, Phillies, Braves, and Mets. That's rather cake.

Well if the dodgers are going to make a world series run they will need both Kershaw and Bauer healthy.they know how to hit and score runs so they should be able to stay in the race.i personally think they're in trouble and won't win that division let alone a world series

Im not..im definitely on dodgers to avoid sweep..pitcher for Miami couldn't make it thru 2 innings last time he faced the dodgers so im drinking the juice

The bookies haven't reacted, not in a significant manner yet, Dodgers are still favourites to win the WS @ 4.75, Astros next @ 5.50, White Sox @ 8.00 and Padres @ 8.5.
Since we are half way through the regular season, a few things have changed, compared to the expectations formed before the start of the season. I'd say Padres have underperformed, given their potential, while Dodgers are about where you would expect them to be, but losing Bauer, for what looks to be the whole season, I don't how he gets out of the mess he finds himself in, will be a major blow for the Dodgers, it will be almost impossible to replace him. Kershaw seems to be on a downtrend and these injuries surely wont help him.
Looking at the numbers, Padres look like the team who could improve the best, their starters ERA is 3.36, ranked #4 in the majors, while their bullpen is ranked #1 with an 2.91 ERA. Padres sore sport remains the offense, I think it's safe to say those guys are underperforming and they have the potential to produce a lot more than they have, until now.
In the AL, Astros look like the team to beat, even if the White Sox have a great record, they seem to be streaking, a lot.

They're in trouble especially if Betts and Bellinger keep playing like average Joes.
Bets is getting a taste of what it's like to hit on the West Coast against a lot of arms he's never seen before.
Bellinger is a launch angle catastrophe. Sucks to be taught that way to hit since little league. It had it's time, but pitchers figured out how to attack upper cut swings. How does one unlearn this?

Similar to Tampa Bay's slump when Glasnow went down? Good teams slump too. Houston slumped, the A's are slumping, Padres somewhat, ECT... The Yankees and Cubs are in their own special category if you want to label them "good" but under achievers who often defy logic.

Well they are up 2-1 bases loaded with nobody out in top of 5th..Look for Dodgers to Win and sweep Dbacks this weekend heading into All-<Star break on 4 game Win streak...
This is going to be a very entertaining second half... you know the Offense is going to heat up..But, if Bauer is done for the year..I hope Padres take division

I have no clue what he can do but he swings at way too many pitches out of the zone and pitchers just throw sliders out of the zone and pitch to the top of the zone and he looks terrible out there. Strike out or pop up.

Yeah, but I think that's the point of the thread. Are the Dodgers a slumping good team or just not that good? They have serious issues and have been inconsistent all year. Now in recent weeks they have looked just plain bad. Add to that an ace who has to sit for donkey punching chicks. Only in LA.

He should've known better. Skanks will fuck your whole shit up even when you're a regular dude. What, did he think he could have "rough sex" with some skank, break it off, and she would just go quietly into the night? That's why I respect dudes like Mahomes and T.Law. If you have a high school/college sweetheart, just wife her. Shit can still go bad, marriages end, but at least she's coming for the bag and not your freedom. Not your neck. Not your livelihood. That chick gives women a bad name.
