--------------
shawn hill and sanchez have been around the league since 2004.
shawn from canada and sanchez from puerto rico.
shawn as a starter, which is what he has been used as with the nats his whole career, is 6-12 lifetime.
He had tommy john surgery and missed all of 2005.
in 07 he started off as the nats #2 guy, but by may he was experiencing elbow soreness and went DL. until August.
this season he has had 8 starts and has yet to win one game.
he has pitched 2 QS's in 08., sanchez has had 12 starts and pitched 6 Qs's, and is currently on a 4 game Qs hot streak. Shwn pitched a Qs 4 games ago.
sf is 5-0 in the sanchez start after sanchez pitches a QS.
Sanchez was used heavily by sf as a reliever, and he did alright. They then demoted him back into the AAA leagues to groom him as a starter. in the last games of the regular seasons of his career (september) sf coaching used him as a starter.
sanchez is 8-9 as a starter. (he has pitched i think at least 40+ games as a MLB reliever. and today he is a blossoming sf starter and a powerful 1-2 knockout punch of lincrum (ace) and snachez second.
of the eleven times these two have started B2B this season, lincrum and sanchez have both won their games 8 times to 3 combo losses. i.e 16 wins to 5 losses.
