Give Kimbo some time. He is a 39 year old street fighter who is trying something COMPLETELY out of his element. I think he did get a lot of undeserved hype, but he hasn&#x27;t lost in the cage where he never had been. Give credit where credit is due

SF kimbo is 34 but your point is corect. Forget being a MMA fan and look at the fact a guy who was homeless just used his hype to create a buzz that just made him 6 figures! God bless the american way. Will kimbo ever be real good no way he does not have the time to learn all the skills necessary. He will milk this for a c ouple years fight guys he can beat, Maybe look for a huge PPV pay day in a fight with Tyson and not appologize to anyone after for the lack of actual skill. That being said in a year he has learned some pretty nice ground moves, but look at UFC guys they have ten 15 years of training, Kimbo has a year and maybe able to get 3 or 4 years down before he will be too old to fight.

There is a reason he is in elite, he is the face of the company and as unwarranted as it is Kimbo is the face of MMA for now. Forget the fact all the UFC old timers would beat him no question. Just shows what marketting can do. Kimbo is fighting for one reason and even he has no questoin telling you FOR THE MONEY

yeah I said it in another thread, he could&#x27;ve easily finished the fight right there at the end of the 2nd round. A little more speed and power and the fight would have had to been stopped. But this guy is stepping into a whole new world at an old age so you have to give him a little bit of credit. MMA is far different from just knocking guys out and this will evolve into a bigger sport then boxing if it hasn&#x27;t already. There are just so many things to learn in MMA and Kimbo hasn&#x27;t even started breaking the ice. With that said he did show a little bit on the ground tonight and still has those big punches.

Its because he couldnt!   He was paid not to win.....it was so obvious.    Think about it this big beast this one punch knock out artist wants to kil you.....you get him on the ground in a perfect mount your adrenaline is threw the roof and all you do is tap him when he can do NOTHING that was the sadest thing ive ever seen in MMA    i wont ever watch Elite until they clean up! Yeah there was no way Kimbo was going to lose this fight. From the ref asking him if he needed help getting up at the end of the 2nd round to the whole promotion of the thing, there was no way they were going to let their cash cow lose this fight. They are a company trying to compete with the UFC. They got a big name in Kimbo and they gotta use it to their advantage to make as much money as possible. Even the crowd there was a horrible MMA crowd. They booed during the best fight of the night which was the Lawler fight. Just how this company rolls

UFC is not that much better, they bring in guys who Kimbo can probably beat.  If Elitexc didn&#x27;t pay that much $, he&#x27;d probably be fighting in the UFC with the same marketing ploy, maybe headlining one of their fight night cards.  The stoppage was no big deal, he would&#x27;ve won regardless.  Thompson was done on his feet, look at his eyes and the way he reacts afterwards.

u mean the guy thats lost 7 out of his last 9? they could have drained the ear b4 the fight easy, but insted what we got was a showcase for a lack of talent, it was all so set up, kimbo tapped, the ref didnt make kimbo defend him self against the fence. the ref made them stand when ear boy was in guard ontop of him the general public might have liked CBS&#x27;s show but true MMA fans saw that it was Bush leauge(XFL,WWE, AA baseball), why did the ref stop the fight; there wasnt a knockout, kimbo was about 15 sec away from passing out, thats why it was stoped it, he was the big attraction and they didnt want him to get wasted by a true fighter so they got someone that was a joke, it wasnt much of a secret when the line goes to-700 for a guy that had only fought 2guys &#xD;&#xA;"if CBS truely wanted to show the public MMA, they should have done some home work, and showed Faber/Pulver"- Jim Rome &#xD;&#xA;idk i guess the problem is that miguel torres is a killer and not a youtube allstar
