I have to agree with a 10-8 Forrest round 2 and a round 5 for Forrest. I did bet Rampage and I do give Forrest credit for a helluva fight but seriously UNANIMOUS? I have to agree with BIGTIME on this one.

Forrest didn't say he beat his ass you tool. It's obvious you didn't watch the fight. Reading an "In -Game thread" in a forum doesnt mean you watched the fight.

I love how you assume I had Rampage. All I said was that it was a close fight and that it should've been a draw. Don't toot your horn because you won on a heavy underdog. If saying it wasn't a close fights boosts up your self-confidence than more power to you. That's just sad...

If round 2 was a 10-8 round, which it probably was, all it takes it 2 judges to give Forrest any part of round 1, 3 and 4...which is very possible, since Forrest pretty much controlled round 1 except for the hook that put him down at the end of the round.  Round 4 was AT BEST for Rampage a draw, so it is very possible for 1 of the 3 judges to give him that round, which they did.

 

Just give the guy credit instead of either swinging for Quentins' sack or moaning over a lost bet.

Rampage easily won rounds 1 and 5.   Round 2 was a 10-8 round for Griffin.   That gets us to 28-28.  I don't understand how Rampage lost round 4.   Maybe Rampage loses a close round 3.   But there's no way round 4 should have gone to Forrest.  

You still haven't explained how Griffin wins 4 rounds to get to 49 points.

I love how you used a direct quote from one fighter but when I do something similar you simply ignore it.

Don't worry. I'm sure this is not the 1st time you've had your foot in your mouth in here.

BTW: Congrats on winning. It's apparent by all your gloating you don't get this feeling that often. Feels good to finally win doesn't it.

Quinton Jackson (Pictures) Vs. Forrest Griffin (Pictures)
Round 1
The fighters trade punches at the sound of the bell with nothing connecting solid. Griffin gets the action started with a right hand lead that lands. Griffin is working the lead leg of Jackson early with low kicks. A left hook from the champion finds its target. Griffin jabs with his left and goes back to Jackson's leg with a kick. A punching flurry punctuated by powerful left staggers Griffin. The challenger comes forward however, glancing a right straight and a low kick. A right uppercut counter collapsesGriffin to the canvas. Rampage enters Griffin's guard and moves him to the cage. Right hands land for Jackson as Forrest stood. Excellent opening frame.

Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 Jackson 

Round 2
Griffin lands a low kick that hurts Jackson. His knee buckles as he retreats to the fencing. Griffin locks on a guillotine and trips Jackson to the canvas. He gives up the hold but takes top position. The challenger moves to side-control and works for an Americana. He gives up the submission to take the mount. Elbows and left hands land for Griffin. Forrest continues to elbow the head but he is doing little damage. All Griffin in the second frame.

Mike Fridley scores the round 10-8 Griffin 

Round 3
Griffin continues his assault on Jackson's left leg. Jackson is avoiding the majority of the incoming low kicks, but a few are getting through. Jackson, limping badly, is looking for a knockout punch. He hurts Griffin with a right hand but is now too slow to follow through. Griffin plays it smart by sticking and moving. Jackson tries to rally late in the round with a combination started with a right hook to the body. Griffin takes a bit of punishment but moves away.

Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 Griffin 

Round 4
Jackson gets a takedown but is caught in a triangle. Griffin has the hold secured but he can't control Jackson's trapped arm. Jackson escapes but finds himself fighting an omaplata. The champion stands and lands a hard right hand on the now bleeding challenger. Forrest, dripping crimson fluid below his right eye, gets hit with a strong left right as the round closed.

Round 5
The fifth and final round starts with both fighters looking for a big punch. Griffin gets the best of early action with a right straight. Griffin goes back to the leg with a kick after tasting a right hook. Jackson turns it up a bit with a strong flurry. In the bout's final minute, Griffin went to the leg while Jackson loaded up with shots. Jackson was unable to connect as the close fight came to a close.

One judge to Griffin
One judge a draw

Maybe I don't understand the scoring right.

Here are how the judges went:

Adalaide Byrd who scored it 48-46, gave 4 and 5 to Jackson and Griffin 1, 2 and 3 with 2 as 10-8

Nelson Hamilton had it 48-46 with 1 and 4 for Jackson, and Griffin getting 2 10-8

Roy Silbert had it 49-46 with only round 4 for Jackson.

Seeing one judge not even giving the first round to Rampage is dumb. I don't think they understand what is needed to score fights in the UFC. Isn't Bird some dumb bitch that has gotten boxing decisions completely wrong as well?

I thought the scoring to be pretty strange and was surprised with two at 48-46 and one 49-46.  I thought maybe they'd give it a draw or Griffin a 1 point margin at best due to a 10-8 2nd round.
 
Being a title fight, it should've been a draw, Griffin didn't show me much of anything in any other round to make me think he was the clear winner in this one.  I think the only other round I would even consider giving him was the 5th, and that's pushing it because neither guy did anything all that decisive in the round.

and there were a lot of Jackson's punches including the one that knocked Griffin down in the first round .....

It's a business !!!

It's about the money but they made it too obvious

Griffin was no match and is no match  for Rampage and he knows it


MMA sucks .. I see Griffin winning only one round ( the second round ) that's it

How did Griffin kick Rampage's ass?

Rampage looks like he was paid to say good thing about Griffin

if MMA officials were a bit smart then
they would have made it a draw.

The only thing going for Griffin was Jackson's leg..
