I am a casual horse player, but looking to get more serious. I'm looking for a track/circuit to follow. I do my wagering online so I have access to all tracks. Was wondering what tracks/circuits others like to play and have success at. I like finding value horses, 5/2 to 5/1. It seems some tracks are dominated by even money or less chalks. Or on the other hand, some tracks are dominated by unpredictable long shots. Does anyone know a good circuit that good handicapping will find nice value picks that will beat the favorites?

I mostly play WPS...but increasingly just WP not show. I do play exotics too...maybe 1 or 2 exactas on a given night...starting to play more pick 3's lately (some tracks call it win 3)

Giant - I was gonna pick up the book I see advertised in the Daily Racing Program by Steven Christ. He writes about ways to bet the pick threes and pick sixes. I dabble in the pick threes but rarely hit them. I am ice cold at Santa Anita. Have hit some nice ones at the Mountain. Harness has killed me even though that was my entry into the sport.

that is it. they advertise it in the back of my Daily Racing Program all the time. And the author is Crist not Christ. Although if it were by Christ I should buy it.

A very good combo that I have been making $ with over the years, is (trainer) Todd Pletcher, and (jock) Johnnie Velazquez.Right now, they are stabled in Fla.(Gulfstream), as racing progresses back up north, they will be together at N.Y. tracks. Pletcher always has a loaded stabel, and Johnnie V.,probally in my book is the best out there, you will always get a honest effort with these 2. I also look for other trainers, Jimmy Bond is excellent with first time starters, any time you see him entered a 1st. timer, its not to dumb to throw a few $ on his horse. Also Dale Romans, his stable is a few tracks across America, he is a fast and upcomming trainer who has a very good idea what is going on, always worth a few $ on his stock. For those of you who would like to ck. entries, trainers, horses, just log on to equibase.com. go to IN TODAYS LIST, they will give you all the info. you need.
