I love Bill Mott's horse, Close Hatches. Mott has shown up big at Churchill lately and knows how to bring a horse along. Jockey Rosario is hottest rider in the country, coming off a dominating meet at Keeneland.

race 1 I will be riding the connections of Howard and Bringmohan Asset of War she is a filly of Lawyer Ron and Added Asset. Coming off a 3rd place showing in her 1st time out at 8f.  So they must feel she needed extra distance to get the final kick.

Splitting my bet in the Oaks.

20 win on 4 and 20 win on the 7. I have a feeling the "freaks" of the race burn each other out leaving the only horses who show they can come off the pace to clean it up. 4 obviously the better animal. But the bomb(7) ran a helluva race last time on dirt(and at CD) in the only race there was a live pace for her. Don't think she likes the distance here, but worth a shit.

So 20 win 4. 20 win 7.

$1 oaks-derby double 4/all and 7/all.

Didnt see Princess of Sylmar winning.  But thats why they call it Horse racing.  No value unless you take the winner or longshot to win.
