money management in thoroughbred wagering?

I am a firm believer that having a money management plan is in the long run more important than the actual part of picking winners. We all pick winners in a similar way although there are an extreme amount of ways to arrive at a wagering position. I have had a lot of success over the last 5 years with precise money management. The issue I have with horses is % of winning is a lot less than sports and horses have different odds. There is not the flat of 110-100 win or lose in sports. Any help, ideas, would be greatfully appreciated, as I love wagering on horse racing. Thanks in advance

IMO the answer depends ( I wear them) on a few things which I consider important b4 one can give an informed and honest opinion.

1- serious or casual player?

2- size of bankroll No answer required here just play within your means

3- how do you like to play? exotics? win? Go for the steady income or looking for a big score?

It's really hard to answer generic questions like this so I can't help.
