juicy field size, turf, and distance that may pose quite a challenge for several of these.
race 10
10 WP
12/1 ml. recency, pace, distance, stamina, pattern. 5 and 9 obvious favs. like how this guy has shown improvement in both spins as a 3YO and strong relative recency with his last race being his best effort at his furthest distance. like that he picked up the zip earlier last out and sustained his late movement even while having to shift out. like the comments in 3/4 races being "finished well off rail", "boxed, got through, prevailed", and "shifted out, best late". like the pattern of two races back as a 3YO (both wins), improving figs, then five week break with two drills pointed straight for this race. in his second spin he didn't do squat and ran up the track but in all three other races he is showing energy to finish well and has dealt with traffic and adversity.
obviously needs to take another step forward to win this. figs are not tremendous but none of them have anything that stands out going 8.5F or 9F. he should keep on running the whole way but this will determine if he is good enough to compete at higher levels.
good luck

5 is a legit concern but let's see how he does with some more pace in the race and he has to go another furlong. pletch has the chalk kind of a grinder and hasn't improved all that much i have to play that he won't jump forward big time adding distance here. multiple question marks with the others and a few of them should completely crumble late in this race.

regarding yesterday, if any happened to play along at all it was disappointing. as long as you didn't chase damage was quite minimal. lots of 2nds, 3rds, and 4ths. i understand its disappointing and i'm not pleased with it. it happens. some favs run well and some topsy turvy horses run their best here and there and beat you.
