We always see some hot capper pop up on these boards and if he stays hot he'll eventually go tout. But what if someone was just consistently excellent and always post their plays for free on a message board.........do you think a sports book would ever buy them out, meaning basically paying some money to put a gag order on posting their plays? I know that idea seems a little far fetched but I just wanted to see if anyone has ever heard of that happening.
P.S. I'm a square, I'm not asking this in hopes for myself.

Doubt they'd buy out a poster. Truth is with alll the books out there they wouldn't be concerned about the play coming their way.
Also, people could pick 75% winners on the spread and still lose money due to poor money management. I can't tell you the countless times I see jackassess not getting paid on parlays while hitting over 80% of the plays on their card.

I don' t feel like getting into all of the details, but I have seen a guy get put on the payroll of a book, and in his contract it stated he could not post his plays online. If you dont believe me, fine, i could care less, just no more personal attacks

What was the guys name? Where was the guy posting for free before the casino got him on the payroll? What casino hired him? What did they pay him? If he was that good why didnt he just stay on his own and make more than the casino paid him? Why wouldnt he just sell his great picks?

It's the same way guys go tout. Get on a popular gambling message board, post your picks, get hot and create a following. Guys on here who've done this are extremely popular in their prime right before they go tout and get banned. Their posts get more views than anyone else. They stand out to a point where if you visit covers, you've heard of the guy. If a person in this position never leaves and just keeps posting away for free and killing it........that's the scenario I wonder about.

Your full of crap. All online books of signifigance are offshore so they do not fall under us law, everyone who has gamble any signifigant amount of time knows this. No possible way he signed a legal contract with an online book. It wouldnt be legal in another country and a local book wouldnt have enough money to pay him to be quiet. Your a liar.

Your full of crap. All online books of signifigance are offshore so they do not fall under us law, everyone who has gamble any signifigant amount of time knows this.
