What Will You Have for Dinner Tonight?

For me, since it's game night (tho I don't have a bet on it,don't have to) I'll be hosting a small group and barbecue kosher hot dogs (don't eat any other kind if you know what's good for you) and Mexican style chicken tortillas.
 
With some strong Dos Equis beer. Or California zinfandel, or merlot for those convinced that the fermented dark grape will give them long life.

I'm probably gonna do a lobster-papaya salad with baby spinach for my appetizer.  For my main course probably a mango glazed braised rack of lamb, with a white-wine and shallot reduction, and a parsnip and lemon-grass puree.  Probably whip up a little berry souffle for desert if I have the time.

I like to put the tortillas on a not-that-hot part of the grill. Just to warm them real good, not make them too crispy.  And the put the chicken, onions, lettuce etc in. Tortillas should be soft, the hard shell kind are an American invention.
 
(And yes, it is true: if God did not want us to eat pus-y he would not have made it look like a taco.  Tho - from what a few Mexican ladies have told me - most Mexican men do eat tacos but never,never down at the Y.)

I'll have a 6 pack of beer during the first half and wash those down with a couple of shots of jager at halftime.  Probably a couple more beers during the second half.  Then I'll make a bologna sandwich and throw it against the wall. Then go to bed.

Yes, stll am.  "Hosted" the get-together at the gf's house - the only thing I can host right now in the small old place I'm in are mice and crickets (no crickets anymore, found a way to murder them all).

I also paid for all the food and did the barbecue. Amazing how much food 6 adults and two kids can eat.  (Well, not amazing how much two kids can eat. . .)

When I'm back from a biz trip end of October I'll be in a bigger better place, still rent free, with a nice big HDTV screen.  Only local cable tho, so I still may try to find the stream on a game I want to watch that ain't national . . .
