How to save Mercury, or burn it to the ground.... Get Chip Foose to design a new 63" Mercury Monterrey- A poor mans Maybach/Bentley put a 390 in it(newer one), polished out all the Latest Navigation etc etc. and all the goodies of today, but give some Detroit feel to it, chrome dash,Rear "Breezeway" window! what does America have to compete with the Bentley continental? 200k cars that sell like hot cakes, where is the Luxury of today? A new Pierce Arrow Silver Arrow

Saleen S7 did very well vs Euro Supers, a wonderful looking car with Roots(Had a 427 in it!) hell they even made a turbo edition if the base 220mph wasn't enough

I want to see cars that aren't a big Circle(Fat circle)....

 The new V-6 Mustang(30K) gets 305hp- that's as much as the Mustang Cobras of the 90's and it gets 31MPG, that of a Nissan Altima. Why not use it's platform and plant and make one that handles better, has a ten times better interior and better fit and finish a touch of BMW ideology and call it the Mercury Cougar

Chrysler 300 is one of the best looking American Cars around today, when bringing a car back, thats how to do it

Gas mileage

You don't own these cars for their gas mileage.   I get about 10, but who the fuk cares?

talking about only gas mileage would be lame, gas mileage is only one side point: The idea is to build a better faster cars that handle better, lower weight makes a car faster as well as handle better and of coarse gives you better gas mileage, I'm not asking to bring back the Swift or Metro, I'm asking America to build a car that can compete with the M3, i think that would be bad ass and as long as the CTV weighs 700 lbs more, why not buy an M3?
