Plenty of great cars no longer in production especially Japanese sports cars and high performance sedans.A few have made it back on to the roads over the last few years such as the Nissan GTR,Dodge Challenger,VW Scirocco, the short lived revival of the Pontiac GTO plus the new Mercedes SLS complete with gullwing doors. I supposed with all this nonsense about global warming and carbon footprints along with high gas prices and not to mention the economic downturn, it might not make sense for car manufacturers to produce these high performance gas guzzling machines if they cannot sell them in reasonable volumes in order to justify development costs.
Here's a few I'd like to see back regardless
Honda/Acura NSX was rumoured to be coming back a few years ago but has been shelved by Honda who developed the new CRZ instead Also should mention the Honda Prelude,a nice coupe in it's day
Chevy El Camino these are available in Australia/New Zealand where they're sold as the Ford Falcon Ute and Holden Ute. I always thought there would be a bigger market for these in the States sold under a Ford or GM badge.Even though I think Pontiac sold a version of this type of car in North America a couple of years ago.
Peugeot 406 Coupe Designed by Pininfarina,it was one of the nicest European coupes over the last decade or so.
Chevy Tahoe 2 door I've always liked 2 door SUVs even though Mitsubishi and Toyota both have the 2 door Shogun and Landcruiser for the European market respectively, you just don't see too many of them on the road these days.Always though the 2dr Tahoe looked pretty cool.Range Rover also had a nice 2 door version about 20 years ago or thereabouts
Nissan 240SX plenty of other cool Japnese coupes no longer out there like the Celica,Supra,FTO,100 NX etc Would be nice to a few of them revived although Toyota & Subaru is bringing out a new sportscar soon, the FT-86
What old or modern classics would you like to see back in production ??
