Who gives a shit?
Just would like to know what others on Covers think about people who use the word "colored".
A They are stuck in the 1950's?
B Just their way of showing they are racist using a term that is no longer excepted, but try and do it in a way that won't make them look bad.
C None of the above ( please explain and give your thoughts as to why. )
For me, the last person I heard say that word was my 92 year old grandmother. Also, the word "colored" is one in the same with "negro".... when used today... they show your true colors as far as being racist or not. When I hear a person use either one of those words... racist is the first think that comes to mind.

Then why does the United Negro college Fund still go by Negro?
I think African Americans prefer to be called "Black" because they think it sounds tougher than being called colored or negro. I still think colored sounds more appropriate than any other word and while I will stop using the term "Colored" here, I will continue to use it in my everyday life as I have for the past 36 years.

Scally, what about the Black people that don't want to be called black, but brown instead. And I know you know exactly what I am talking about.
Where is the line drawn and how in the hell are you supposed to know what to distinguish people by?
