I am tired of this roller coaster ride to be honest. If I could go back in time and quit gambling I would. However, tonight I am in the situation gamblers dream of. A 10$ 15 team parlay is still alive and down to the final 2 games. La Kings ml and Nuggets-2.5 are the only two games left. I've been on an insane heater lately narrowly missing two huge  parlays on the last game in the past week while padding my account with the single plays. Hard not to when you only lose 1 game a night. I lost a 15 teamer to win 15k on a shootout earlier this week. I convinced myself to shake it off and move on. Makes no sense dwelling on a coulda woulda shoulda type situation. My bet lost plain and simple. So i got back on the horse and fired out another insane parlay. Yep....coming down to the wire. Probably will result in a broken heart and back to the old drawing board type depression. However if two faves who are amazing at home can get the job done I have hit the gambling jackpot in a sense. Of course, the final two legs are at the same time. No great way to hedge. Heritage would even hedge for me if this was the last leg and i had time to plan. I'm not even going to be able to watch a minute of that crazy nba game. Scary fading the clips and watching a nba game where there will be 30 lead changes. I don't have the stomach for it. So I will watch the hockey and sneak a peak at the end of the nugget game if I didn't already sneak a peak at half. Time to get drunk and hopefully not end the night crumbled in a depressed ball thinking about the tough beat all night long.

You odds of hitting 15 of 15 is 1:1500. Say your betting 15 on a 15 team parlay once a night, 15*1500=22,500.  So say you hit one and won 15,000.  Odds are your still down around  7,500.  Would you buy something at the store for 22,500 knowing its only worth 15,000 afterword? Doesn't make much sense to me.

in my mind it's like a scratch off ticket. I expect to lose but fire it out anyway. I hit 14 games a few years ago in baseball and had 100k on the white sox in sunday night baseball at texas. The white sox got killed and I could only hedge for a few grand. I felt like a pile of garbage for a few days but moved on. Few years before that I hit a 12 team parlay in nfl to win 12500. I've been hooked ever since....

Almost anything you buy is worth less when you walk out of the store. Car? Yep? House? Probly? Try selling your groceries for face value.

Its called entertainment dude. $10 is money well spent compared to a night at the bar or even going to the movies....

thanks train...just noticed i didn't even write what it pays out. 42 k......makes it hurt even worse if It doesn;t hit since I usually go smaller on the 15 teamers. I was just on such a good run single bet wise I risked about 7 dollars more than usual. Feel like a jink discussing this mid game. Both so close I'm going to be sick.

Dude, what hes doing is not the same thing.  Say you head to the bar 5 nights a week with 10 bucks.  10*5=50 50*4= 200 200*12= 2400 hes losing about 5,000 dollars more.  Not to mention at the bar you are networking and in a good mood.  Going to a bar doesnt depress people like losing a bet and thinking oh i could of used the money for this.

I'm an entertainment gambler. Go big or go home. My picks are usually decent enough where I hit enough of the 15 games to make me crave firing out another one based on  competition alone. I win my single bets more often than not and maybe they pay for this stupid hail mary hobby. I've already been paid off by lucky parlays of over 10k atleast 5 times in the last 5 years. Ive lost on the last leg 40 times. I'm not one of those gamblers that grind it  out a living. I shoot for the moon and usually miss

so let me understand this. You are on here crying about not hitting a 15 team parlay for 10 bucks?  So you are hitting 13 or 14 out out of 15 on regular basis and you are crying about not winning all 15 games. Instead of crying about not hitting all 15 games, you should be celebrating that you are able to win 13 or 14 out of 15. I guess some people dont realize how lucky they are.

Honestly i had to read this thread 3 times, because i couldnt believe what i was reading and quite honestly i still cant.

Maybe you should quit gambling before you endup hurting yourself because the gambling Gods didnt let you hit a 15 team parlay.

and one other thing, if you lost 40 times on the last leg, clearly you arent betting smart.  Maybe you should be betting parlays  that you can fill in as you go, that way when you get to the last game, you can hedge it.

am happy as hell if i go 2-1 every night, you want to go 15-0 every night or else you think you caught a bad beat.

kings are a good home team and were up 2-1 late in the 2nd. I don't usually hit 14 out of 15. All I said Is I've been picking more winners (8/7) for ex than losers. It helps pay for my dumb parlay habit. This week has been an unusual very hot streak and I could be up over 60k if got a little lucky. instead up 8k on the side. I'll still be pissing away money chasing the 15 teamer...

what is obvious is you dont get it. The guy is crying because he cant because he cant hit a 15 team parlay. Give me a friggin break. The guy should be happy he cant hit 14 out of 15 like he says he does so many times.  Sure would like to see one of these 15 team parlays posted before the games actually start.

surely the moral of this story is not to do ridiculous parlays, if u had backed all the plays individually, how much would u be up? thats not grinding, its common sense

I remember reading that 5dimes will give "true odds" when doing a 15-leg or higher parlay, instead of skimming the payouts on you. Best of luck Messier.

seems like heritage gives better odds on parlays from my experience...

maybe you should read his post again. His crying about not hitting 15 team parlays on regular basis, like the whole world is against him because its not happening.  In his own words he says he plays them all the time, so this isnt about putting a 15 team parlay one time and almost hitting it, this is about a guy who believes he should be winning 15 teamers.  Sorry but if i could hit 14 out of 15 teams as much as he says he does, i would be a very rich person.
So really go take some reading courses.
